Affiliating Marketing on Facebook - personal fan page or business?

I am trying to promote a product and using fb to connect to my audience but when i created the account and have invited friends to "like" the page, I've noticed that I don't have the search bar to "like" other pages, and connect. I guess this is the difference between a business page vs. personal fan page. Which one should I do and if i use personal fan page, is this against FB rule? I'd hate to create another page when I already have followers.. advise please.

If you're conducting business on Facebook, you should be using a Fan Page. Though I've never personally seen it happen, I have heard rumors that Facebook has closed peoples personal accounts for using it incorrectly, so no sense in risking that I say.

Am not sure what the problem is. But you will notice that the more fans you have on your fanpage, more features/options become available. so keep doing what you are doing; inviting your friends to your fanpage.
