Subdomain or New Domain

Would like any advice on adding subdomain or a new domain.
I have an Amazon store, and have google to attract viewers from USA, but my analytics say most viewers are coming from Spain, where i am based at present.
Should i add subdomain to site and build another site in Spanish, using Amazon ES, or would it be more profitable to buy an .es domain.

buy .es domain - put it on .es hosting - then make your site.

I would say if you are intending to target spanish customers then a .es domain would be better as it would be easier to rank in google.es. You might, however, be targeting spanish speaking customers in the US/Mexico or whatever, so a sub-domain might be better for that or the relevant country that you're intending to market to.

Sub-domains are treated as separate domains by the search engines, but I prefer not to use them. You can add the new domain in the footer of your old domain to pass some link juice.

I say get your own domain. You can specifically target the right customers with having your own domain because you can customized it and will be able to promote it directly. While having subdomain will only be limited to those that has accounts or probably category specific. Having your own domain you can target the right keywords and be able to work around with ranking it on top page of any popular search engines.

a subdomain ranks as a seperate domain anyway so why spend the money? unless you plan to flip the site later on.

2nd level domains get more rank with search-engines, 3rd level - less.

Would love to see the evidence you're referencing to support that comment - it's not what my testing has shown.

I test both of them and found create subdomain is better than register new domain.

Agree with all mentioned above, get the new domain, .es
Then you will build a new website in Spanish...a laser target your niche on specific country...IMO

I'll add my vote to those who also voted for 'getting a new .es domain.' Even if you search this forum, many of us would choose to acquire a new domain instead of using a sub-domain based on scenario you gave above.

I maybe wrong, but doesn't the OP want USA based traffic and not the Spanish traffic which he is getting at present. Getting an es domain is against what he needs if the former is true.
