Basic HTML Editor Recommendations?

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a very basic HTML editor, to design mail layouts. It doesn't need to do anything fancy, just allow me to design a basic HTML page.

I've searched around a little, and most free apps such as Komposer are just over the top. I just need to be able to add tables, links, change fonts and colors and insert image links.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Try NVU - it's free and seems pretty good.

Yes, I could code the HTML manually, but I would prefer something WYSYWIG. But always good to plug Notepad++ it's a great app!

I have used Notepad++ for over 2 years. It works well for all of my html editing needs. It's colorful and the syntax is pretty. I will recommend it. Before it, I used Frontpage, MS expression web. I really preferred Notepad++.

There are some PLR newsletter templates around that may do the job, I used to use them way back but they done the job, sorry don't have link but a quick search on Google and you will probably find them.

Maybe your autoresponder will have some html templates also ?

Check out this online Web editor: Online WYSIWYG HTML Editor

You can create/edit the pages in the WYSIWG mode just like you do it in any desktop Web editor. When your page is finished, click at the "Source" button (top left one in the menu) to display and copy the generated HTML code. Yes, it's that easy!

The online Web editor works with any operating system and you don't have to install anything at your computer.

    Just wanted to say thanks.

NVU was just the ticket in the end, and I managed to achieve what I was hoping to do.

    Cheers.
