IE or Firefox (with Dreamweaver)

Which should I use and/or default to? I'm cautiously assuming IE is the more popular and widespread.

I ask because I had a problem with IE yesterday, and opened up my site in Firefox; the server(?) didn't show my page correctly - or rather it didn't show as it does in IE.

Should I change my settings in my DW8 editor to accommodate both?

Well you definitely want any sites you design to display properly in both.

I'm back to using FireFox just recently after a few months using Chrome and a brief stint with Safari. IE, for me, isn't even an option.

If you are designing sites either for yourself or others, it is best to have each of the browsers on your machine to test against since Firefox and IE interpret some code differently.

        I never use IE.

IE still has the majority of the browser market followed by Firefox, Safari and others so I'd say to make sure it shows well in IE, FF and Safari.
