Would this Upsell model put affiliates off? from promoting (as an upsell)

Affiliates drive loadsof traffic to these,

==>
WSO 1 bought (Price = $7, affiliate commission = 100%)

==>Upsell item 1, purchased (Price = $24, affiliate commission = 50%)
==>Upsell 2 ($2497, affiliate commission = 0% ..which means I get all the commission, profit to that.

Would this model put affiliates off, and not promote my WSOs?
(on the basis that i would be getting 100% the profit from a 2nd upsell, high ticket item), they would get none..from a $2497 product.

and they would drive loads of traffic to my offer,

    I don't really see why it would, but I'm no authority.

    As long as your initial offer and first OTO are good and proven to convert it seems like there should be enough money for everybody. But again, I'm really no expert.

    Why don't you give them 5-10%? Some will look at 0% and walk away.

    For such a high ticket product (what is it anyway?)
    I suggest you to give them something like 10% commissions or something..

    It's surely going to deter some affiliates. When affiliates see you are not giving them a split of that product they might think its unfair. It really depends on the affiliate though. But it also depends where that upsell is. Do you take them to it during the purchasing process or is it something that you upsell to them later on. If it's the latter then you don't even need to mention that product to affiliates. Just keep it out of the equation. I wouldn't recommend sending people to an offer that high during the first purchase (especially WSO buyers) cos it's highly unlikely anyone is going to trust you enough to hand over that kind of money. They will want to check out your other stuff first.

      so wait until months of soft selling emails get read by them?

      or until they read and buy some other higher end products of mine first?
