Okay, so I have an amazon site that I project to make around $200 this month...hopefully, anyways it is going to make at least $150, which I think is pretty good! Anyways the question is it is getting around 1800 visitors a month, with about 2500 page views, should I put up ads of any type...or does that hurt credibility and conversion, I don't see much about that...

I deal with the dilemma sometimes, and it sort of comes down to the changes in traffic patterns, and benefit versus loss. I am considering putting ads up on a site that sells a product but ads that appeal to people who already own the product. I'm still thinking on the same idea, and haven't made a decision but really need to to do that ASAP, because it is important to make decisions!

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I would say it is worth it aslong as your ads are nice clean and blend nicley with your theme and not forcefully intrusive to the visitor

I'd give it a shot for a couple weeks see if your sales go down. You could end up losing a few sales but more than making up for it with the ad revenue.

If you're email marketing, don't let ads ruin your back-end credibility. Stick to the product promotion. I just wrote a little bit on this topic a few minutes ago...

  • Why not give it a shot and observe? You won't know unless you try, right?
I believe that it won't hurt your traffic, as long as your ad placement looks great. If it looks cluttered or superimposed, it may take a toll on your traffic.
I'd say give it a try for a couple of weeks, then observe your activity. If it hurts, remove it. If it doesn't, keep it.

Success doesn't come in an instant, just like Rome wasn't built in a day.
