How To Embed YouTube Videos without the player menu.

Hi guys. I want to put up a video from my YouTube channel on a website as a video sales letter. I want to make sure it's embedded without the player menu and share stuff.

Is there any good plugin for that.

I know leadplayer it's around $100.

Is there anything for free that can do this for WordPress?

Thanks in advance.

I still want play and stop button.

Here I just found the best way to make the embedded videos clean :

    First.

Remove the option to "Show related videos at the end"

    Second :

Input this code in the iframe code right after rel=0

    ;3&autohide=1&showinfo=0

and you wont have the tittle bar.

    that's exactly what I needed.

    Thanks Google search.

FYI, you can go to this page and choose all of the display / playback options you want for a YouTube video, and then copy the embed code at the bottom of the page.

@Brandon Tanner - Hey that is a great find! I didn't know about that.

@IMStrategus - There are a couple more options I used to use for Sales Page videos also: modestbranding=1&rel=0&autoplay=1&cont rols=0&HD=1

Anymore I just use Vimeo. YT is great for building a following. But I like Vimeo a lot more for embedded website videos and to deliver training I created. It's so much cleaner and more professional looking. If you get a Pro account it's cheap, you can do pretty much anything you want to the video, and you don't have to mess with Amazon S3 or anything (like a lot of people do for content delivery).

By far - the easiest way I've found to deliver training content is to just create a PW protected folder through the cpanel on my hosting, then just use Vimeo because I can lock the video down to only my domain for embedding. You can even allow your customers to download the videos if they wish, right through Vimeo.

Sorry if I went on a tangent there. I just like Vimeo so much better than YT for customer facing marketing or content delivery.

  • Well, if you're on Wordpress there is a neat little plugin called JW Player that allows you to remove the Youtube branding and the controls if you want to (I honestly wouldn't recommend this, no one likes to feel that they don't have control over something as simple as a video). You can also pick what looks like at least 100 different skins to match your site. Typically, I go for the "glow" skin as it's nice and professional looking. You can also set options to play full screen, hd and so on. You CAN upgrade to a paid version, but I've never seen the need to do so.

I also heard great things about vimeo and it does look cleaner and professional but with YT it's great for social media marketing.
