How Important is a "Pre-launch"?

I see people on WF complaining about "pre-launches".. I'ts "annoying" or "I want the product now" type of thing.. In my opinion, I think it's the best thing you can do to build a buzz for your product/business.. What are your thoughts?

Yes, great buzz builder. Did one for my last WSO. Don't think it's "mission critical" though. You can still get great results without one. But just my 2 cents cause you asked

In my opinion, I think it depends on the product itself.

Launching a massive pre-launch sequence for a short 15 page ebook is not going to go down too well. However, a massive video coaching course or something like that, a pre-launch might be of benefit.

    Just my 2 cents,

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

Pre-launches are very effective for generating buzz for a product. It can make people excited for a product and can allow you to acquire a devote following. Pre-launches work (when done right).

I agree.. I just don't get why some people hate them.

No reason not to really. They work, you get a buzz going, you get people on your early bird list and you can ramp up sales come launch date.

Prelaunches are about more than just creating a buzz. Those in the know use them because you then end up with a targeted list of people to send to the offer the moment it launches resulting in tighter epc and conversion stats which help in the recruitment of further affiliates.

If used correctly then yes, a prelaunch will only ever be of advantage to you. There's nothing to lose from doing a prelaunch.

Yes pre launches are a big key to get a lot of hype to a business. I just did a pre launch with some business partners about a month ago and it has really helped make a jump start in our business just because of it.

Definitely does help. In fact you could increase the collection of lead count/virality as the surprise/wow/"what is that" effect tends to get people to share more compared to "oh thats what it is".

I look at a prelaunch as the same as advertising your product or service. It is a way to let people know what you are doing.

Pre launches are super important, if you didn't have a pre launch how are you gonna have that initial product launch explosion?

I do not care if it is pre-launch or not. Important that I would love the product, price and compensation plan. The rest does not matter at all. However if I would have a choice between 2 companies where every thing is the same, one in pre-launch, other all ready started I would choose 2nd.

I agree but if your product is unique, a pre-launch would build some good momentum.
