How do I drive traffic to my micro niche site? It's not a "thin" site.

Hello Warriors,

I recently started a micro niche site. It's a pretty well-targeted niche [the main keyword has 1,500+ exact searches in the US; US being the geographic target... and the associated 3-4 keywords will bring the total exact searches to well over 5,000+ per month].

I plan to write about 25-30 articles, and about 2-3 videos. It's an information site, so the monetization method I'm using is AdSense (only). Visitors/buyers in this niche would be interested in only professional services; so ClickBank, Amazon, other CPA methods, etc. are a NO-GO.

It would be great to know what traffic generation methods would work well for something like this. The BIG one is to rank on Page 1 in Google's SERPs for the targeted keyword(s). What should I be doing to generate backlinks to this site?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hey-

I have a fleet of adsense sites. Here' s how i get my traffic.

I build a quality adsense site and then a second blog. Depending on the niche this blog will have 2k - 10k pages of autogenerated content. I then use a redirection plugin to automatically redirect the traffic to my adsense site. The visitor never even sees the second blog.

Each one of these blogs will bring 100 - 500 visitors per day depending on the niche. I really don't even care about ranking my adsense sites in Google anymore. My spam blogs get all the traffic. They have survived like 5 Panda updates and all Penguin updates - I don't even build backlinks to them.

If you want to learn how to do it send me a PM.

This method will also help your adsense site rank in google. When it comes to SEO, what google wants to see now is traffic coming to your site from multiple sources FIRST. Second you get backlinks. Then you rank.

In the past you could just blast your site with backlinks and rank. Not anymore.

By the way, if you want to do traditional seo and rank here's what you do.
    1. Get traffic from other sources (My method, web 2.0 sites, anywhere)
    2. Once you're getting that traffic build a small amount of social bookmarks from high authority sites (FB, Twitter, ect)
    3. At the same time go to Godady Auctions or other places and buy some PR3 or higher expiring domains. Put each one on a seperate hosting account and put a relevant article on on the homepage. Put a backlink on that homepage to your adsense site/page you want to rank. You don't need many of these links. And watch your serps go up.

That's really all you need to do. There is a guy on this forum named Becker.

He owns a site called Source-wave.com. Tons of free cutting edge seo info. I've tested his methods and they work.

@TheAdsenseGuy: Thanks... I'll write you a PM today. Your method is greyhat, I suppose. Maybe with a few tweaks, it could come closer to the white side of things.

I'm still interested in some more ideas

Also, quite interested in what you just posted TheAdsenseguy but I don`t really want to spam the web to do well. I may PM you though as it sounds a good strategy and I could adapt it to my means.

I like the idea of using expiring domains on Godaddy so thank you very much for sharing that.

This is a very tight niche, where the visitors/targeted traffic will be looking to hire someone for their professional services. It's a very "offline" niche. Places like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc. won't work for anything but backlinks. And there's no social network specific to this niche. Even if there is/would be (that I might not have come across during my research), it would be a network of the professionals in this niche (more like LinkedIn).

So, social media for backlinks is in my list of ideas.

But that's not going to bring me direct/referral traffic.

Blog commenting (on relevant blogs) is one thing I can think of. Is there anything else that could work as effectively?

        - How about hiring someone @ 5R to do some offline stuffs such as handing out flyers & sticking banners at targeted places!

        - Did you already search for specific related community forum? It also a well target, too.

It doesn't hurt to try it if it's a business. It's worked for me but not sure about your niche.

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

I'm sorry (my bad). When I said offline niche, I meant they're not looking for any online solutions such as ebooks/videos,etc. They're looking for professional services (think doctors, plumbers, illustration experts, lawyers, carpenters, etc.). AdSense is the only thing I can think of. The traffic will come from Google largely and not much via social sites like Facebook, Twitter, and the like.

So, the answer I guess is staring me in the face... SEO. My worry(!?!) now is how to do it.
