List Building, How I should use it

I have a quite good listing, but I am not sure how should I use it for maximum profit? Many people say that list building is the best way to earn money.

Can anyone suggest me how can I use my listing to get some extra money please ?

    Hi Faisal,

What do you mean 'your listing' exactly - I don't quite understand...

As for list building, list building is essentially gathering a persons email address via a 'squeeze page' or 'opt-in page' by offering them something of value to download or access (for example a free report, or a free video)

Here's an example of one of my squeeze pages to clarify how this works:

Make Passive income with Kindle Publishing

Once they SUBSCRIBE, your auto responder (aweber, getresponse etc) sends them an email that you specify - and of course you're able to follow up with more emails later in the week with various promotions (that make you money), and of course just good tips and advice to maintain a good (non spammy) relationship with your list...

If you build a list in the SEO/SENuke XCR niche for example - you could send your first email with a link for the Free Trial for SENuke, send the 2nd one asking if they've downloaded the free trial yet, and the third perhaps with some tips and tricks to best use SENuke - or perhaps a free template download for it...

You get the idea I hope

Since you have quite a long list, I presume you've acquired those users over a long period of time without offering them anything. You could try and promote an offer to see who's active; essentially you'll discover if the list has value or not through testing. Your first mistake was not instantly sending them emails whilst they've got you on their mind.

Hi eljeffe77, thanks for your details information. I offered subscription through my website and I have 2k subscribers. I only send them message once every 2/3 months to let them know about new services. My concern is, how can I use this list of subscribers for other purposes, what type of product/service/affiliate product/ideas can I send them for extra incomes ?

You could find related products that have affiliate marketing programs and offer those to your subscribers as well.

Make sure they are relevant, useful, good quality and something your subscribers actually need. Don't promote anything that might make a buck.

You just have to start emailing and observe to what your list respond and what makes you the most profit.

You can start emailing them everyday like:
    day 1: valuable content
    day 2: valuable content
day 3: promotional email (affiliate offer)
    day 4: valuable content
day 5: promotional email (affiliate offer)
    day 6: valuable content
day 7: promotional email (affiliate offer)

Don't bother about unsubscribes. That just means they don't want to have business with you.
On the other hand, by unsubscribing they will save you money (Autoresponder space).

Focus on list building and monetizing your list.

Unsubscribes are inevitable but not worrying about them isn't what I'd recommend. No need to purposely p*ss people off so they want to unsubscribe.

Even a skeptical freebie seeker can eventually become a buyer and raving fan down the line when they are ready.

What type of service do you offer?

Sounds like you have quite an impressive list.

If you are looking for more business from the list, you can offer promotions, limited-time discounts on the services every once in a while, buy-one-get-one offers, etc.

If you want to promote other related products to them, like you said, then do just that!

Without knowing what type of services we can't get more specific, but maybe a product which teaches them how to do (some of) that service themselves?

may I suggest the search button. Get some good advice for FREE. yes I said FREE....fancy that. LOL

Solo ads are big, and we use it for our business, you do not have to buy WSO, cause once you find a few good solo ad resources they have other resources to check out and do promotions with other good solo ad vendors.

Once you have a list you can:

    - Maintain them as a loyal customer by providing them useful content on a regular basis
    - Promote your products to them first and use that to gather data like click through rates, conversion rates, etc. and tweak your offer
    - Promote other peoples products through affiliate links (only promotions relevant to your niche)
    - Sell Ad swaps to others in your niche
    - Sell Solo Ads to others so you can email to your list on their behalf
    - Build friendships and partners for future JV's & Affiliates
    - Help People and in turn they will help you

This is a small list, but you get the idea.

    Hi,

Create good quality emails that offer plenty of solid tips, tricks and strategies.

Share your opinions, results and experiences and people will warm to you
very quickly when you do this.

Making sales from an email list becomes a whole lot easier once you have
your readers engaged and on your side.

Just share your side of the story.

Market to them but be you at the same time.

Always make sure you add links in those emails too whether they be
links to some free information or links to an offer.

Always give first then ask for the sale later.

All the best and well done for going out there and taking action.

    Regards
    Gavin
