Help with wordpress issue...

Hi Warriors,

Ive started a blog on movie reviews and on the themes that i have tried it will only show me the last 5 posts. Is there are a way to set the theme to show all the posts on the widget side? Or maybe you have to use a certain theme?

Any help would be much appreciated.

From the tutorial that Mark sent it seems quite complicated...i was hoping that there was a simpler method. Back when i used to make sniper sites all the themes showed all the posts...im googling and searching now, if i find an easier way ill let you know mate

I think I know what you're asking, but I'm not 100% certain. Honestly, I haven't even touched my Wordpress blogs in awhile since I sold most of them, but from memory I'll see if I can help.

If you're asking how to increase the number of posts displayed per page and number of recent posts in the sidebar, simply go to your Wordpress "settings", then select "reading".

Under "Front page displays", select "Your latest posts" then increase the amount of posts that you'd like displayed below. This will change your home page and category pages to where they consist of multiple posts (the number you select) rather than one single page. I've found 10 posts per page to be common, though you may want less if you're using an opt-in form to try to build a list or trying to monetize the posts with Adsense.

If you'd like to keep a single static home page then under "Front page displays" simply select "a static page".

Then go to the sidebar widget (you should have the "Recent Posts" widget in place) and increase/decrease the amount of recent posts you want displayed in your sidebar.

This is what I do when using Thesis:

    - Click on Design Options
    - Then choose Home Page Display Options
    - Under Features and Teasers, there's a scroll down box choose the number of posts you want to display it can be 5, 7 or 10.
    - Then Click on the Big A** Save Button to save your preferred setting.

I believe this will work with any WP theme installed. Hope this helps. Good luck!
