Cheapest place to sell a domain name please

Hi, I have half a dozen domain names that I want to get rid of as I cannot waste time on them. Where is the cheapest place I could try to sell them as I do not wish to waste any more money on them.

Ebay is probably the cheapest and fastest place to sell your domain name. No listing fee but you pay a final value fee.

Flippa charges $9 to sell a domain name but you will probably have more exposure. However, flippa also charges 10% of the sale.

Godaddy auctions is another place but you have to first purchase auction membership which is $4.99.

Sedo is another site that you can sell your domain name.

    Hope this helps.

A year or so ago, I set up a page on one of my web sites, listed a bunch of domain names with their age and expiration dates, then put a catchy link to them in my signature here. It took several weeks but I sold them all and it cost me nothing over and above PayPal's fees.

I've been meaning to do that for months. I guess my bright idea is not original, but it works as well. So much for procrastination.

That looks like a plan. I am not a website builder/seller but I have done a few over the years and am tired of paying hosting fees. Some are probably worthless, but some may have value. Thanks.

You can park/own a domain independent of having it hosted. It will cost you about $5 to $12 a year in reg fees.

        Smart.

What was the average sale price if you don't mind me asking?

    Hi jodevizes!

Whatever route you choose, be careful of using any method that offers the buyer a refund period (like PayPal). You run the danger of turning over the URL and then dealing with a refund.

My suggestion is to stick with a service/method connected with domains and/or Site flipping, and be sure you think about transfer fees if there will be any.

    Best of luck to you!

Just passively listing domains (that you consider mostly worthless to start with) is a long process and most likely won't get you any results. Sedo is free, but they most likely will just sit there. I'd let them expire and not register any domains that I wasn't going to use right away.
