    Try Google Adwords, it's my #1 source of traffic and accounts for about 90% of clicks. Also best to quickly identify which keywords convert best so you can then optimize your site for thoise exact keywords via SEO

      That's good advise for whom has a converting site or money to spend to find out what convert.

      Usually someone looking for traffic has non of both.

      Paid traffic is the best targeted traffic if you can afford it, but IMO only after you have a conversion/funnel setup which let you stay in profit.

    Optimise your website with SEO or if you are more desperate in receiving a highly targeted audience quickly, you can use PPC to bring in traffic. I suggest Adwords or Facebook Ads.

    If you have a static website, I would recommend you start blogging on the niche your website is in (of course, don't make discuss too much about your brand, give it a natural feel), update the blog regularly, share your posts on social media, engage with your visitors, do some guest posts on influential blogs and create relationship with influential bloggers in your niche and you will soon see visitors flowing in.

    For immediate and targeted traffic, you can try out ad campaigns on Facebook or Adwords.

      It's a great advice. you need some offsite seo to increase you traffic.build your link profile in all web2.0 sites, linking back to your sites homepage and also other pages.

    You need to focus on getting real traffic then.

    Target your niched keywords via youtube. Target forums that are in your niche and post relevant content with your site in your sig, and browse through yahoo answer questions in your niche and answer those with your site link.

    Pay for it! You want real visitors fast? PPC is the way to go. Adwords, bing and FB are super easy ways to get in front of your market fast.

    If you find yourself a bit overwhelmed by the adcenter on these platforms then look up products on that (Chris Blair has FB traffic down to a science) find a voice that can walk you thru it. Free traffic takes a long time to test. Paid gets you traffic now and let's you know if what you are doing is even working.

      Bill Hugall you couldnt have said it better.

      If you want instant traffic and you have to money to spend then paid traffic is your best bet. But like my fellow warrior has said you need to test your campaign to know your conversations.

      However if you are just starting out then I suggest blog commenting and posting on facebook groups that are related to your niche. Its what I would have don if I was just starting out.

      Though be warned. Dont expect quick results if you use free traffic.

    Are you willing to pay for the traffic? If so then I would research everything you can on PPV and PPC. If not, then it would be a good idea to start blogging. I do both paid traffic methods and blogging to drive traffic to my site. When you start blogging it will take a while to get the traffic going, but just keep putting out unique/high quality content and the traffic will eventually come!

    Cross Promote Your Site in Multiple Venues - As an Internet marketer your website should not be the only presence you have online. You should have a Twitter feed, a Facebook Page, a blog, and whatever else fits your niche. Crossover between each of them to provide additional sources of traffic.

    The fastest and most scalable is most definitely paid traffic. Make sure you have a set budget and don't let emotion get in the way of your decisions, let the data dictate your decisions.

      You want visitors which BUY some I guess, not only look at your site and leave, right.

      PAID traffic is definitely the best option IF you have a website with a proven offer and stats which show your conversion.

      You simply buy targeted visitors and those convert into sales based on what you already know.

      BUT, this means that you know which keywords are the best to bid on and that you have the conversion stats and the funnel setup and know your numbers and what it's working.

      You also could buy solo ads in case your niche allows it, but that isn't traffic which converts well for a purchase.

      Free traffic is always a bit time consuming and has a uncertain output as you don't know what will actually get you visitors which become buyers and what not.

      Best is to have a first page listing at Google, Yahoo and Bing for your top keywords. Not an easy task today in time but doable. Maybe go for local keywords if your offer allows it (adding a city name to the product).

      Then you can Get visitors over Press releases, HQ Articles for content distribution, Free Giveaway for something valuable, Filesharing, Viral Video Marketing, Social Marketing offering a incentive for sharing, Forum marketing in Forums from your niche etc.

    Sounds like you want organic traffic

    Keep adding contents to your site and promote them via social media. Depending on your niche you can even join forums and put your site in your signature, or even add a live rss feed as your signature so new contents keep showing up.

    Build a list with the traffic you do get so you can keep bringing your existing visitors back and back again. You can even just make it a newsletter where you send out weekly updates to start with.
