Hello. I'm starting an IM list and wanted some feedback. After someone opts in to your landing page do you automatically send them to an offer? Or do you cultivate their interests slowly and use your autoresponder to periodically send offers?

My landing page will offer subscribers work at home opportunities/passive income earning $3000/month

Thanks

If the user is signing up to your list to learn how to work at home earning $3000/month, they expect to be sent that product.

From there, yes, you should absolutely continue to cultivate and grow your list with quality information. But if they are signing up for an offer, they expect to receive it.

    Just my opinion!

You can do both. If you want to maximize your paid ads for example purchasing 100 clicks solo ads, you should have an autorotator like myclickboss or coreclickmaximizer to have one time offer rotating to your leads once they optin.

There is many says to maximize your return on investment and this is one of the most effective ways to build your list by making one time offer sales or at least breaking even to have generated the list for free.

    Hi,

If that offer stand true then you'll be hard pushed to find a paid one that
    beats it.

Many will just be looking at accessing the FREE $3000 a month passive
freebie you're giving away and may ignore the OTO altogether.

But on the flip side of that if the free offer is that good then they will certainly
thank you for it and this will get you off to a great start in terms of building
relationships and creating reciprocity between you and your subscribers.

So hopefully you'll be able to see some strong results at the back end of your
funnel once those emails start going out to them.

Again this is something you can TEST!

Just roll it out, measure, test & track your results.

Then tweak your funnel where needs be and keep on tweaking it as you
    build your list.

I see so many get TOO caught up in the details and end up doing nothing
for the next 12 months trying to get everything PERFECT!

    Okay good luck.

    Regards,
    Gavin

Good observation. Nothing against the OP personally, but when you see someone brand new to the forum asking elementary questions and offering a make money product, it kind of sets the red flags waving.

Sure, the product could be PLR from someone who really did earn that type of income, but if you're the buyer you probably want to be dealing with the guy who knows what he's talking about - the guy whose method you're buying into.

This is sooo very common here at the WF whether this is the case with this OP or not . . . people who are new to Internet Marketing do themselves and the make money audience a great disservice by assuming the role of teacher and guide even though they've never sold a thing online.

Yea, I'm finding this to be the number one question too.

Whatever it is your promoting to others, If you are claiming to make 3k or any amount for that matter, you better be able to back it up.

Otherwise your just promoting a dream that never develops into anything and I think people are kinda getting tired of false promises.

        I'm just saying......

    No, I definitely don't!

You need to test it for yourself, to know what's right for your business.

My perspective is that you gain nothing by doing this, because although you can make the (very) occasional fast sale from it, those sales are to people who were going to buy it a week later anyway.

The problem with making those (very) few fast sales is that doing that may dramatically reduce the open-rate for the emails you send out to your subscribers, and cost you a lot of money.

Not too "slowly". I cultivate their interest pretty quickly. I can do that without losing them. I include an offer in the third email, usually - sometimes the fourth. They get that about 6-8 days after opting in, depending on the niche.

But not as quickly as "right after they opted in".

My guess is that you don't need to rush, and risk losing some/many, but you can only know for sure by testing.

Does any one do a course on testing?

Seriously, how can you expect to succeed without one of the most crucial elements?

You can ask, and people can share their results but that has nothing to do with your specific campaign. "You'll never know until you try," should be the motto of IM.

    That's the beauty of it! (;

I couldn't make an offer to my subscribers after opt-in because the key is to
build a relationship up with them over the long-term. What is the point of list-building
if the list is just going to be cold and unresponsive? You definelty don't want to pay for people
that are on your list every month without opening a single email.

I don't send out an "offer" until the 15th email.

Until then I give them unique, valuable content that they can take action with.

      value , value , value
that's the mantra if you want to build a list and get people lissen and buying from you.
Personally i don't care about who you are when you send me a mail i just care what kind of offer you show me.
Today i just clean my mail from a few "big" name because they keep sending me bad offer with big announcement, that's the problem...
to keep a customer only offer anything but value.
Too many are selling The next big thingh or the You really need this but after ,if you buy you discover you are running into trouble because they did not test enough ,before the launch ,or the sale copy did not tell all the difficulty you are going to run into....i guess you know what i'm talking about .
For me i black list all the mailer that keep try to selling me this kind of --time waster---
      again VALUE ,VALUE VALUE
List building is a long term business , mind that

Well yeah Trinipirate. What you should is this. Send them directly to the offer that you are promoting and looking to generate money from. After you begin building your list all you need to do is give out freebies in the form of information, ebooks, videos etc. Just remember that you should always give out more freebies to your list compared to products that you are trying to sell to them.

What this will do for your subscriber is develop trust. This five letter word will make your subscribers want to reward you by making a purchase by the time you are ready to promote an affiliate link or money site to them. And trust me you will make lots of money on a regular basis if you follow this rule.

I'm in the process of building a list right now and I'm focusing more on the relationship side of things. I would recommend selling products every 4th or 5th email while the main content is just advice.

Thanks everyone. I did not plan on having a list without sending freebies, building trust etc. I simply wanted to know if you jump right in with the offers on day one. Now i see some people do and some don't. The $3000/month is just a typical "high converting" landing page that I picked up from a previous WSO. Do I make that? I make more from my 9-5 but no I do not from IM. Nor do the majority of these WSO's claiming they do their numbers. But let's face it, IM isn't the most innocent business. Having said that, I have learned a lot and am very interested in adding value... not just pushing affiliate links.

You can also provide value and present them with an offer simultaniously.

The people who make the most money are the people that are actually selling something, just saying

You just have to be clever about it and master the art of preselling.
