Best way to accept payments online 4 digital and physical products

Hi guys,

What would be the better option to accept payments
for digital products and real, physical products in
Australia?

When would a merchant account be the best option?

Having a merchant account, how would it work to
create the order links for the different products?

Any other points I should consider?

    I have sold stuff on your Australian ebay. I used paypal, with no problem accepting Australia currency.

      I've been using paypal for over 2 years now. I have two accounts, a personal one for selling personal items on ebay etc and a business account for selling digital products.

      Paypal can get funny if you use a personal account too much, which is why I set up the business one. Only downside is you get charged a small commission on sales (about 3% - please correct me if that's not spot on anyone), but the upside is you can accept credit cards through your business account as well as high value sales (ie $1k plus)

          PayPal is all you need providing you have a business level PayPal account.

          If you do not want your customers to know you use PayPal you can use their Website Payments Pro product which has an API and enables transpararent payments.
