Best way to track form submissions on a website?

I want to track form submissions for a site (not a wordpress site) and I'm wondering what's the best way to go about this? I was thinking of just setting up analytics and seeing how many people went from the form page to the submission thank you page but I'm thinking there has to be a better way to track it... would appreciate any feedback.

Did an initial search on google and have come up with the best solution being Google Analytics. So you are going in the right direction.

I personally use a 'high tech tracker' that is on par with 'CPVLab' and others.

These are however more advanced (and expensive trackers).

I can however, suggest HyperTracker/Leadpages.net for tracking (and LP creation/tracking).

If you want more detailed answers just PM me
