What do you want to sell? You can start with this list which contains the networks I would recommend, plus some.

      Clickbank is definitely good.

If you are in the MMO Niche then you have to go no farther than here...........i.e Warrior Plus

If you want to do an ecommerce you should think to Amazon, but you don't get lot money if you don't have lot traffic.

If you blog instead that ecommerce, so make sense to think to clickbank and other network in my opinion.

As a general rule of thumb, in-house programs pay more because they do not have to pay network fees. I would first look at which companies or niches you want to promote, and then I would check to see which of those companies have affiliate programs. If they so happen to be in a network I would still promote them, but I feel like your approach should be researching niche/company first, then signing up for the network or in-house program.

Drop shipping usually pays a better percentage. Like mentioned, it depends on what you're wanting to sell. Amazon is dependable. Wal Mart, Sears, Kmart... most of those retailers have affiliate programs too, but going directly to the source will get you more money.

If you're looking to make some money from internet marketing/MMO related products, but also weight loss & a few others (but mainly biz opp), I can definitely recommend...

    CashNetwork.com

They ROCK! Great payouts, good support and most importantly payouts EVERY FRIDAY unlike that horrible once a month crap on ClickBank.

I recommend you check them out. Really good private affiliate network. Hit me up if needed!

    Cheers,

There is really no "best" affiliate network. It just all depends on what type of product/services you want to promote - and then seek out the merchants who can fulfill these things for you and pay you properly for your marketing efforts. I'd recommend cutting out the middle-man affiliate networks and work direct with the actual merchants as much as possible. I find it to be a better business relationship and communication that way and less BS because a lot of affiliate networks are scams just in the middle intercepting and stealing marketers' commissions. That's the truth about it no matter what anyone says.

    That ship sailed years ago.

Nowadays, aside from a few rare exception cases, you'll need a rich content site framed out with affiliate offers. I wouldn't worry too much about the affiliate program stuff for now. Just focus on the content production necessary to draw and maintain traffic levels. At that time you will then monetize the site using various affiliate programs, not just one "best" one.
