Ironically, if it wasn't for an advertisement I saw about some young millionaire making thousands at the time I was in financial hell, I wouldn't have dabbled my way into this whole internet marketing stuff. Heck, I wouldn't even imagine venturing into this stuff, but when you're trying to pull yourself out of a position where you're eating 3 pieces of bread each day, desperation dictates the rest. Anyway, here's my problem.
Just came across internet marketing 2 weeks ago, and I feel absolutely hopeless, here's why.

The reason I spent many hours researching this stuff throughout my waking hours is because of what most of you guys are doing; affiliate marketing. Obviously given the deplorable situation, I had to make cash too and I thought if anyone else can make hundreds per day, why cant I?
Well, the whole premise started to become a lot less elusive after finally realising the every single niche available on sites like Clickbank have all become saturated to death. No matter how high the gravity of one offer and the amount of advertising $ you pump into it, the return is practically zero. It's all just starting to feel like a gamble and so this whole affiliate marketing gig is already starting to smell of bullshit, which leads me to my next point.
I believe all those big boys who create & sell these thousand dollar 'become an elite marketer' products are making money - NOT from promoting other peoples products -, but from their OWN products and the realisation I've come to is that I will never reach the next step unless I create my own product to sell. Well the thing is, I never ventured into this to sell & create my own product, as I have nothing of my own expertise that I can convert into a product.
So this leaves me to my final question:
If I want to reach my target to make at least a few thousand per month, do I have to invest my time & money to come up with some kind of revolutionary product to advertise? or I do I just give up internet marketing altogether and move on back to my day job?
Thanks.
