  • This is a VERY powerful statement!

It is the way I feel about the 9 to 5 rat race. College may be required based on your career goals such as becoming a doctor, lawyer, research scientist, etc. But, I believe that in most cases it is not.

The idea of spending thousands of dollars on a degree in the hopes that it will increase your value in your potential boss's eyes now sounds ludicrous to me. I have a degree and participated in all of the extracurricular activities and took extra classes but, I wasn't taking those for myself. I was being directed, like so many others, to do these things to make myself look more valuable than my competitors for the same job.

I have since learned that my value comes from within me! I don't need a title or someone's pat on the head or back to make me feel good about myself. I love writing and doing the things I do to further my entrepreneurial goals. It is empowering. I love being free from all of the rules society tries to have us live by to fatten someone else's pockets.
  • Peaceful Warrior is definitely one of the best movies that I have ever watch!

This movie is full with quotes and amazing story about how should look you journey. Every time when I read some of the quotes who are in the movie, makes me feel powerful:

“There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all One, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humor and change. There is no problem, never was, and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns, and relax into the world. No need to resist life, just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else, too! It's all the marvelous Play of God. Wake up, regain your humor. Don't worry, just be happy. You are already free!”

  • Right on... I am in conflict with an employer I remodeled and tiled 2 bathrooms for offline.

Particicular client knows me, we've done several jobs before, and here in the peak of the holiday seasons... this clowns trying to beat me down on payment to the point that I would've never done the job... 12 days work, he's talking some sh!t like $650!!!

I don't do trade skill work for $50 per 8 hour day!!!

And I see this happening online, people writing for .03 per word, and feeling 'used' - I refuse to 'accept' it.

Note: Referencing the tile jobs, he shot me a number for tile only, we agreed, way more work was involved, even other projects... And we spoke vaguely about it being more mullah... Now its time to pay up, and all I'm hearing is excuses, and bs!

All the more reason, I should 'burn the ships' and take the virtual island!!!

Back in the day... The work would've been manually removed

  • “If you don't get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don't want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can't hold on to it forever.”

“A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does”

“Everyone tells you what's good for you. they don't want you to find your own answers. they want you to believe theirs.”

Another 3 motivation quotes from the same movie that can change your day!

  • Nice post Joe! So important to remember your own worth. I've seen far too many people stuck in jobs they don't like, afraid to make a change, because they were blind to the fact that they could . . . because they were worth it! Some employers of course know this too and take advantage of it. Self-worth is a priceless thing.

  • well i believe it was jesus who said ..you will know a person by their fruits ..

you determine your value ..by the fruits you produce ..and what someone is willing to pay to get it ..

to styart out with jesus and finish up with hookers ..or escorts however you want to refer to the profession ..

some do the deed for 20 bucks and some for 2000 bucks or more ..

and then there is the longer term ones who marry rich ..and divirce and walk away rich ..

the key is the confidence to seek out those who value what you do and will exchange value for value
  • Yes the truth be known to that in the sense that, unless you pay attention to what someone else

believes you are worth, then you are worth what you believe you are.

Unless of course it works in your favour where someone believes you are worth more.

But you are worth what you FEEL you are worth and that is what people respond to no matter what

    you tell someone.

For example: If you don't feel you are worth $200.00 a day and you tell people you are, universal

forces will always find a way to match the worth you feel. It is you putting out those feelers and no-

    one else.

Solution is to convince yourself of your own worth -no one else can do that for you!
