if you are already married with children.. it effects the choice you need to make

it is better to get on the path of self employment or business development before you get into a long term relationship.. or you fill your spouses ear with the dream of success until she either leaves you ..or says **** it go ahead ..

you know there is a learning curve.. and we have been condition to earn wages sence we started going to school .. and making a living from profits is looked at as shady by normal people ..

many billionaires and people who write book..started on the path early in their teenage years .. or found they had no path in normal employment and had no choice but to build a business

When I started online marketing in 2008, I failed a lot of times. I remember working 12 hours a day in order to get this to work. Wasn't simple.

So yes, I have to cut down on my social live and also on TV & movies.

Now I have other people helping me out so I work only 2-3 hours a day

Can't complain - I guess it has been worth it.

I would say you need to find a balance between working enough to be successful--and not so much that it affects you relationships.

Now with that said, in my younger years--I would burn the midnight oil--but I guess I was lucky as at that point in my life I could do that.

Would I do it now, no.

As I value the people I have in my life now too much to risk losing them.

Randy, my whole life is different, and there are many friendships, moments, and relationships that I've missed out on while pursuing my mission. And yet I'm compelled to continue. In the end, I won't regret any of the TV I missed, but I'm hoping to get the relationship end of things in better working order.

Yes, for me too family is most important. I also think fulfilling your dream is important. That is why you need to find a balance you can live with.

That is when it's vital to sit down and talk things out. In the beginning I explained to my wife what I wanted to do.

So we agreed I could have X amount of time each day to work towards it. That really forces you to maximize your time.

Too many people that succumb to shiny object syndrome would be better off spending time with their family instead. It is when you become serious and focused that this endeavor becomes justifiable.

Let's face it. Many of us have full time jobs too.

So like Odahh said it makes a big difference how you prioritize your time when you have family.

As far as television, I watch most of my stuff on demand anyway, like Netflix. So it doesn't really get it in the way.

And when you start to see your business growing, it makes entertainment pale in comparison.

There was a period of about 3 years where I was putting in all day type hours and going to school once a week at night (University of Phoenix).

All I can say is that thank God I found Internet Marketing. But back then it was easier to rank sites on google, now its really hard.

But those years I put in I can enjoy myself now, but I still have to work.

I am sacrificing living a "normal" life like most of the rest of the world does. I'm sacrificing having a steady income too.
To me, having a self created income that I am in control of online is the greatest intention of all. Nothing can stop me from finding and creating it. Giving up isn't an option.
