Last few weeks I have been...

Untangling and "unwiring" and "unfiring "
(through Meditation and Visualization) very negative neural pathways that have bogged me down for quite sometime.

I have been highly focused and very intense with this Meditation. And I have been successful in erasing some of the neural pathways that relate to unfortunate past traumas that have taken place in my Life.

Anyway, it has really been life altering and I continue to grow each and everyday.

Iam open to answering any questions relating to this and am also open to hear some of the techniques you use to deal with past traumas in your own lives

You are off to a great start with meditation and visualization, and more importantly, UNDERSTANDING you have those very negative neural pathways and their origin.

These are DEEP CUT paths, which take time to overwrite, using your unwiring and unfiring thought.

As you progress, you may want to try or experiment with REMOTE VIEWING of your past trauma, and also TIME LEAPING when they are filled in and you have done the REWIRING, what does that look like? Taste like? Feel like? What will the result of all this look like, be careful about the idea of having erased your neural pathways.

I believe you may have filled them in, like a pot hole, or covered them over, but they still exist, and at some point some trigger may bring them back to the surface...maybe not.

Another technique you may find useful, is SCRYING, and I use a Crystal Ball, although a mason jar, or stone, or coin or any object will do. Ignore all the fortune/future telling hype around it, and think of it as another way to FOCUS in on your inner calmness and open your subconscious up to your intuition and active imagination...which is one of the reasons for those deep neural paths to begin with...it means you heretofore had your IMAGINATION working overtime to recall the trauma, and now you can use it as fulcrum to move that out of the way.

The fact you are stilling your mind, may be the best thing you can do for this, so keep it going and try some other things too.

One note, in my instance, it took a lot more time than I thought it would, because even though I thought those paths were "erased", under stress, they found their way back to the surface.

Yeah I have been working through some stuff . It was never physical abuse I dealt with the repeated trauma that started when I was young. And has recurred with my family friends every job.

Honestly I didn't have a grasp of the scope of the trauma until today. But I have been meditating more often several times a day the last several weeks mainly because I have low blood o2 levels for some reason.

The last few days I have breathing into the blocks and in a conversation with someone yesterday one element of the block revealed itself and earlier today the entire block ripped open. ..

At the core level their is what we want and why then as we grow up the conditioning and traumatic aim us at either safety or things we should want but really don't. That's the stuff motivation attempts to push you to do.

This is far far from a pleasant experience right now unlike the blissful touches of enlightenment a few years ago. So much more physically uncomfortable and emotionally draining. I literally feel like i got beat up pretty bad

Sorry to hear this odahh!I know it's tough. And as Gordon so eloquently put those neural pathways cut very deep. That is the truth.

The moment I think I have turned the page with my Meditation something gets triggered in my life ,and I find myself with those same negative neural pathways firing off again in my Mind.

Anyway, I would really love if this Thread could turn into some kind of self help therapy for people to talk about those circuits in their brain that keep them held back in Life.

DISCLOSURE : Iam not a licensed professional whatsoever when it relates to any of this stuff so please do not come on here looking for any type of medical or professional advice.

        .
I'll let you know know my fee is a non refundable 5 dollars and the extent of the treatment is your explain what you do because of this trauma or fear. Then I yell stop it.

It works I swear I saw a doctor on tv do it.

There is far more potential new trauma if I don't quickly deal with the old trauma and take a far more productive course of action

I took my time working through the physical health issues and figuring out how to stabilize my mental state. Thought I was putting together a story of struggle and overcoming trouble. But I'm not a good story teller and no on cares. The fact I have gotten better must mean it wasn't all that bad.

Well, feel free to ignore this advice (assignment).

You wrote: Thought I was putting together a story of struggle and overcoming trouble. But I'm not a good story teller and no on cares.

This is where you (and a million others) MUST work on...because, WE do care.

And in just a moment, I'll give you a magical truth, that works every time it is used, but first.

Starting with WE. Who is the we that cares? First, although some Warriors get a hard time (and I've dealt you more than my share)...the Warriors that are still here and participate DO CARE, or we wouldn't waste our time. Most of these older Warriors don't need to be here. WE hope that our advice or suggestions can be of help, even when the advice is harsh, or perceived as criticism.

The bigger WE are other people who may be going through something similar to what you are experiencing, and by sharing your journey, it could be of help to others.

The REASON why Self-Help is such a huge market place is, so many people are seeking help...and so we do care about the trauma and struggles of our fellow man.

Now here is a secret, one that I have actually used...and every time I use it, I feel much better.

          GET OUT OF YOURSELF.

Go help out at the local soup kitchen, food pantry, community center, old folks home...go GIVE some of your time do something for someone else. You have a lot of opportunity to give your time, energy and skills to those who are in need of them.

You will find you have less time to FOCUS in, and those deep dug neural pathways don't fire off so much when you are present when helping other people.

Again, free advice on public forum, but it has been tested, tried and I believe it is true...when serving others, we don't have to the time to focus on the I, no matter how much it begs for our attention.

Thank you you're response. Anything else would be highly defensive.

Anyway I cleaned toilets and the shower in a 60 Man homeless shelter every morning for five months last year.

I don't have the ability with the written word to tell the story in a way people care to read or follow. This is about the best I can do.

I still stick by that people don't care about my story. So I'll work through this as quick as possible. . No need to drag it out for a story to tell.

It's far more helpful to everyone if I dig in to the problems work through them then when people with similar issues come to me for help I can give them advice based on what they can do to work through the problem .
Instead of a story of how I did something options on what they can do from where they are

It's pretty straight forward , really. Just decide what Thoughts and Emotions you want to fire and wire. And just go for it, and never look back !
      It's not rocket science

And losing weight is just a matter of eating fewer calories than you burn. Do you know how many calories you burn per day. The rough calculation it 14 calories per pound of body weight. Protein intake roughly.9!grams per pound if trying to lose weight and less than 15 percent of calories from saturated fat.

Not rocket science at all just information you need to find

I like the fact that you are transparent and doing something to address your needs .

I made peace with my past and moved on because holding on to the trauma I endured in the past made matters worst .

Good to hear about your diversion towards meditation and spirituality. This is will really carve a zen character which will indirectly make you calm, composite and shrewd towards your endeavours.

Bartie Musa - Keep up the journey, habits both good and bad can be changed by our neural network. Maximize the good, minimize the bad and find the balance between the two. All the bad is not always bad sometimes it is a matter of quantity/quality, likewise all the good isn't good it is also a matter of quantity/quality.

Each person may be different but what I do is I close my eyes and listen to a relaxing piece of meditation music ( you can find stuff on YT). I then begin to go through THREE things I want to accomplish/overcome in my Mind. I visualize that the thing I want to accomplish has already been attained before it actually has been physically manifested. I do this to music that last just over 7 minutes. And I do control breathing inhaling through my nose and exhaling through my mouth during those 7 minutes.
