This is your future...

Hi everyone,

No, I am not speaking about how to make 10000000000 in a second from home
Relieved?
I would like to ask you what you think about something I consider to be lifechanging for myself?
Its the simple sentence: "If you worry or feel happy about your future, doesn't matter - it only changes this present moments output."
Most of the time I found myself worrying about the future like: "Oh my god, what will happen if this plan fails?"
I developed a simple strategy to overcome this rather meaningless thaughts...
Now I try to think: "Oh my god, what will happen if this plan is a huge success?"
And all the thaughts that follow up are AS powerful and VALID as the thaughts leading me in the opposite direction.
Hope that helps you too.
Cheers

Good info, I believe in positive thinking as well. I'm very spiritual and believe this world and what happens to us in it is based completely on thought. We create our own universes and we do it through negative or positive thinking. Thank you for your post. I already knew it but it's a helpful reminder!

A positive attitude is hugely important. But I disagree that 'what happens to us in it is based completely on thought' What happens to us is based on action, not thought. Thought without action is like a car without wheels. It'll get you nowhere.

You are right with that. Let me however ask you a question: If somebody shoots someone with a gun. Who or what is to blame first?
Is it the motivation (mind) the hand that pulls the trigger (action) or is it the bullet that kills the victim (result of action). Is it now clearer what I really mean? The mind and thaughts are always first. Right after that the action follows. Mind is the root of action and action is the root of results. I mean it like that.
        Thanks for taking part

Your dominant belief system of the moment is the mother of thought of that particular momemt and thought is the mother of action. So look for the root of the thought for the real answers.

            Hi,
Thanks for bringing that up You made me think a little deeper .
You say that a believe system of a moment is mother of thought of a particular moment? Are you sure with that? May I ask you what causes a belief system? A belief system is a result of a certain functioning thing, right? Could you kindly tell me what causes such a system first then I get a little deeper each time. Belief systems are causing thought, no doubt. The root of the thought in my opinion is another mental process before the thought occurs. You raise a great question here Let me ask you, what the root of thought is. What do you think? My answer is mind. No mind, no thought. My question to you: What is the root of mind then?

              Hi Menny

I think we are calling the same thing with differnt names here.

Root of mind = Belief System

People are unique and their mind/Belief System will react to any given situation in a uique way. Only that person will know the real root.

I agree that the thoughts create the action. Unfortunately, we have so many "scripts" embedded in our minds that many times our thoughts become our enemy and not our friend. It takes time to sort out the good from the bad. I think for financial success, we need to set up and follow a plan. For emotional and relationship success, we need to root out the damaging scripts and replace them with better ones (sounds so easy, doesn't it?).

Nice catch Menny. I agree with you.

That is a very powerful thought. Instead of thinking negatively, you turned it around and made it positive which will only help you out in a good way.

Beautiful! To get better results all you have to do is focus on asking better questions!
Thanks for reminding me of that as I often forget.

Menny, thanks for this great reminder. A lot of people trip up on the idea of focusing on the present since worrying about the future cannot help anything, as you point out. I like to focus specifically on doing something today that will help my tomorrows rather than just saying that tomorrow will be great because it gives my mind some further justification for my expected success.
