For anyone who is struggling...

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to take some time to reflect on the time I have had in IM and hopefully give some of you out there a little spark of motivation.

When I started IM about 2 months ago, I was more confused than ever. I was sick of my job ( $120 every two weeks ) and that just wasnt cutting it for me (even though i am a college student). I knew that something had to change. I got home one day from work, and looked up "ways to make money online" and stumbled upon affiliate marketing/IM. I saw some of the figures people were pulling in and never looked back. My days these past few months have consisted of nothing but applying myself and studying IM till the early hours of the morning. I am about to venture into my first campaign in a few days and I couldnt be happier and more excited.

Let me tell you why. My purpose for writing this post is because I wanted to tell everyone out there that is really trying to make it in IM to STICK WITH IT. Believe me, Im not too far behind you if your just starting out. I remember my first two weeks starting out, I thought It would be as easy as a few clicks and id be making boatloads of money online. Sure, I still have made $0 from IM, but what I do have now is a great roadmap, vision, a plan to execute and confidence. IM is just like anything else we approach in life, you cant be intimidated; just remember that it is a process, a tedious process but like any other process in life it takes time to learn.

Confidence is triggered by knowing what we are doing, and how to execute it precisely. Take the TIME to learn this stuff, have a plan with no gaps or cracks, and the confidence will be following close behind. Just think of it this way: would you fly a plane without knowing how? Not a whole lot of confidence there id imagine.

I dont want to sound hypocritical at all, seeing that I myself still havent made any money with IM. But what I have made is a lot of PROGRESS towards learning IM and I now have a plan to take action, along with the confidence that I have aquired through applying myself. All im saying is take the time to learn this stuff and have a solid plan in action before you execute it. If you think about it, IM at the beginning (at least for me) was a lot like having one blind person say to his blind buddy, "follow me this way!" You get a general idea of what direction your blind buddy is going in, but because you cant see your way and have no direction you get lost and go no where. You MUST see where you are going, and take action upon it.

Dont get discouraged, there are always resources you can use and people that are more than happy to help (warrior forum). I know it is pretty easy to do that with IM (gulity as charged) because we all see ourselves driving that nice car or buying that big house at the beginning, yet we dont have a solid plan to execute. Just know that taking the time to learn the content, having a SOLID plan of action, and being confident with your yourself and your abilities is one of the best traits you can possess with IM. Hard work does pay off, but you must put the time and work in to get the result.

Thanks,

    • think of learning IM like college. It may take you 2-4 years to get a degree. But that degree will help you make hundreds of thousands of dollars in the future. Just don't quit your day job.

  • Action is the key. I realised that i can do all the studying and still not make any money. Its all about making mistakes and learning from them while taking action.

    • I totally agree with that statement, Im new to IM as well, but I think its like any other business, youve got to work hard and be in it for the long haul, to be a success.

And the ones that succeed are the ones who dont give in, ever.
    • Agree, I know a ton of people that are smart and they can't make commitments.

A good analogy is being in shape. Most people can't commit to working out and then they start taking drugs or maybe get surgery. People are lazy! You must work hard at something to achieve success.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this
  • I'm also a college student and have just started my first major project. I'm also super excited and understand exactly what you mean. I've been at it for a while and haven't made much but now I have an exact plan and I wrote down a daily schedule.

All I have to do now is stick to it, which is the most important and in my opinion the hardest part.
  • Great post.

I was probably more confused then anyone here when I started but with enough time, effort, and energy you can figure this stuff out.

Figure out how to get traffic to a converting offer and keep doing it until your rich enough to be satisfied. THat's all..
  • Sticking at it and learning from my mistakes is about the only way I've ever made any progress in anything.
If only I was one of those people in IM who've earned thousands of $$$ in their first two hours. There seems to be thousands of people who've already done it... IF you believe their ads!
  • It always seems to please me whenever I see some ones such as yourself getting back to this community and not being afraid to be rejected for your thoughts and opinions.
  • Great post!
