Why aren't you working?

Serious question:

The key to making money is taking action, so how come you're not doing anything right now?

It's one thing if you've completed your tasks for the day and are now just kicking back, but if you know you haven't gotten anything done at all, what are you doing here?

What's stopping you? What's holding you back?

Talking about it here may not only help work through why you're procrastinating, but sharing ideas may help you improve your work ethic and plan your time better.

My reason at the moment is simple... I'm suffering from burnout and really don't feel like doing anything. Once I rip the bandaid off, I'm taking a short break so I can regroup. This break probably won't last very long - just watching a few hours of House with a guilt-free conscience does wonders for me > That alone will do me good.

How about you?

  • I also am taking a breather between projects.

It is easy to spend the entire day online, as life can pass by. I shoudl say we march through time and may miss out on great fun.

I am with you and plan to spend tomorrow which is Sunday with my little ones.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • I like to take small breaks throughout the day and come on here to take a break from my business without completely losing focus.

I do agree that its soo hard to actually get going with your ideas in internet marketing, particularly if you are new. Not only is procrastinating a huge problem, but also info overload.
  • Yes! Stop browsing randomly through the forums if you should be doing something else. You know who you are.

This is the number one reason I didn't see any success when I was first doing internet marketing. I got too distracted by other things.

So buckle down and get to work!
  • I had to come here to see what you had to say, Emily.

Oh, you said seriously. All right then, I have been working. I take a 10-15 minute break every hour or so, and for many of the breaks I pop in to check the Warrior Forum. Sometimes it's the local newspaper's site, or my favorite sports teams. Or to take the dog for a walk. Whatever.

I do get plenty done though, so don't you worry about me young lady!

    • Other than a couple 30 minute breaks to eat something I've been working since about 7:30 am.

Man, I come here to relax and you tell me to get back to work. Slave driver!

I'll fool you - I'm going to bed. So there.

  • I find it's nice to come here and talk about stuff I'm doing or thinking about.

Most of my friends are lazy and would never dream of starting a business, instead they moan about bills and having to shop at cheap supermarkets. Their eyes glaze over when I talk about business ideas, so I don't bother with talking about it with them anymore.

I take comfort from the fact that the only other person I personally know who started a business made so much money they have semi-retired in their mid-30's.

    • lol, Because I come here to refresh my brain after every 3 articles.

Because I already wrote 15 articles today, proofread and edited 30, and I'm enjoying reading what you wrote.
  • My reason is just straight and simple. I find time to spend in WF every day. Mostly an hour or one and a half.
  • Well...currently im a student and taking 4 classes. The Biz Law class is wicked intense!

Also involved in the Body for Life diet. But, I do work on my E-book diligently when I get into it. Its almost done and im actually thinking about releasing it here. Its going to have SO much value....theres just ganna be a ton of great stuff in it Ive also been doing a lot of researching on Clickbank because ive been thinking about releasing it there too. I get off track sometimes...

Ehh im off and on I guess but itll work out......

    Peace
  • If I find myself thinking of what to do next, I try to make it my practice to look at any options as either a 'chore' or an 'investment' (of my time) which opens a different window for me.

If possible, I would always choose the investment rather than the chore, but unfortunately circumstances often dictate otherwise!

But I'm almost allergic to the word should as in 'you should be doing this...' - I haven't really figured out why I react like this but that's generally my initial response to such instructions.

Regarding spending time on WF, that is always an investment of my time!
