I've realized one of my biggest problems the past few weeks: I've got all these great ideas, and always set out to learn how to do something, but if I never ACT on anything, I won't get anywhere.

I know you're probably thinking, "No DUHHHHHHH," already, but hear me out.

When I first got started a long time ago, I took action, learning as I went, and I made some money. Not a lot, but a good amount considering I didn't entirely know what the hell I was doing. I had a grand total of FOUR subscribers on my list and still made money, if that gives you an idea. I consider that a fluke - does anyone consistently get a 1 in 4 conversion rate - but apparently I was doing SOMETHING right.

After I suffered a few burns I reverted to "learning mode", and stayed there for quite some time, participating in discussions and always learning, but never implementing. There was always something I'd rather be doing, or some excuse I'd make: I'm tired. I'm bored. I'm going to watch House instead. ETC etc etc

I have big plans for the future, but I've been blinded by my own ambitions. If I don't have a concrete plan of action, how will I ever achieve these great dreams?

Life happens NOW, TODAY. If I want things to change, I have to make those changes happen.

Case in point... I quit one of my two jobs the other day. I worked in a craft store, and I used to love that place. I won't get into all the messy details, but let's just say over a long period of time the quality of that place steadily declined. I gave it my all, but when I figured out that it was actually better for me not to (believe it or not), I stopped caring. Even though I worked with some really great people, I was really tired of all the office politics that went on, and eventually snapped. For a long time I thought, maybe if I wasn't there so often it would get better, but when it hit home that I'd only waste time with people who would never change, I got out.

The ending sucked, but at the end of the day, I'm relieved. I can now focus on other things in my life. As for the really good coworkers, there's always cell phones and Facebook, not to mention I'll be back as a customer.

Now! Back to Internet Marketing.

I'm taking action. I've learned so much from the Warrior Forum and will continue to learn, but now I must implement as I go.

I've already resurrected MoneySoapBox.com, the domain name is new (it used to have a "blogspot" before the .com), but I'm shifting directions and am applying my newfound knowledge. I managed to get traffic to it through all the lesser effective channels in past, now just imagine what happens when I "get it right"...

I've got a new WSO coming up. I plan to release several over the coming weeks.

I found a CPA mentor completely by accident, got to talk with him on the phone not too long ago and he seems like the real deal.

I've got an even more kickass product in mind that I plan to launch in the summer. I think, done right, it has amazing potential for all parties involved.

I've got several ideas for membership sites.

On and on...

I've already listed several on the table, so I'm going to simplify everything as much as I can by breaking it down into daily tasks. For example, I'm planning to do something like this for my blog:

1.) One post a day
2.) Five submissions a day
3.) At least one autoresponder message a day
4.) Three articles/videos promoting the blog a week

My action plan isn't set in stone yet, but here's another big one: I'm implementing War Room ideas.

Anyone who's a member knows the War Room is great and good... but whoever has taken action upon such things please raise your hand >

This is why you'll see less of me around here during the day and will only sign on AFTER my daily tasks are completed.

I will report back to this thread in a week to let you know what actions I have taken!

Cheers

Nice post. You'll do real well, I've seen a few of your posts recently, and you're a solid contributor. Also, your blog is a great read and enjoyed it thoroughly.

I like the fact you have broken down a plan into daily action steps, which is how it should be done... well, that works for me also lol.

      Good luck Emily

In life, there are the implementers and the "rest". It's all about taking action. Everything we have in our lives is a direct result of the actions we have taken, the same as what we don't have is the result of actions not taken.

I used to be a business coach with Brad Sugars organisation "Action Coach" and action was what it is all about.

      Step 1/ Plan your actions
      Step 2/ Take action
Step 3/ Review the actions taken
Step 4/ Go back to step 1/ and repeat forever and ever

I have met two main types of people in life, the first who tell people what they are going to do, and second who show people what they have done.

I wish you the best in the later.

I can really hear your drive and positivity in that post, so it sounds like you're off to a great start. Also - great idea to log in here AFTER your tasks are completed. Something I manage to do only half of the time, lol.

Anyway, I look forward to following your journey. Good luck!!

Good on your girl and good luck on your endeavors. I have no doubt that you have the work ethic and attitude to make one of them absolutely blow up...I'm excited for you.

I would not only come back and report your progress but have your own internal progress report that you do every day or week to make sure you are always on track for moving forward with your ideas.

You hit that one on the head!

I hear stories all the time of people who just can't get themselves to take action. They know what to do and how to do it, but the problem always seem to JUST DO IT!

    Great post!
