Hello Everybody

I though I would share with you the fact that last night I achieved three goals.

I never set aout to achieve these goals together, in fact each goal has no direct link to the other.

The three goal I achieved were:

  1. Obtaining my first client for my offline marketing business
  2. Completely running the 5 km (3 mile) course I had set for myself (not bad for only two weeks of running)
  3. Getting my poetry book up for sale on the net.
I'm telling you to brag but to show you what can happen when you put your mind to something and continue to follow through.

All of the goals were acheived through hard work and dedication. However, these three goals are not the end and I can not take a break just yet.

I will still get up early each morning to work, still exercise and still push through any problems that come my way.

This is where success comes in. Anybody can try, but only those who are willing, determined and ready to commit and follow through 100% will see success.

The fact that you are a member of this forum and taking time to read the motivational threads tells me that you are one of the people that are willing to give 100%.

Terry

p.s The rewards are worth it for when you do succeed. I'm not talking money here, but just that great feeling of knowing that you did it, you succeeded.

Thanks for you comments Vijay, Raygun and denomardin.

I do have a cover for the ebook, I just forgot to put it up on the site. But thanks Denomardin, I'll get that fixed tonight.

Remember, its not the size of the goal that matters, but the fact that you achieved it.

Very impressive. You have reminded me that I need to set more short term, achievable goals. There is something very satisfying about meeting goals, putting a check against the list and achieving something. All those big successes come from smaller goals met along the way. Thanks for the reminder.

Great job bud! One of the hardest things iv realised about setting goals is actually going ahead and achieving them. Procrastination has long been the mother of unrealised dreams.

Thanx for the inspiring message and all the best to your success online.

I think you both have hit it on the head when it comes to goal setting. To many people have long term goals and big ambitions, but they forget the short term goals.

Short term goals are very important as tey are the stepping stones to your long term goals. Short term goals give you confidence and a feeling of satisfaction that you can achieve your dreams.

And it is important to celebrate every goal you acheive, no matter how big or small the goal may be. You are allowed to celebrate due to fact that you have put in the hard work and you have done what you set out to do.

But remeber achieving your goals is not the end. Most of the time those goals will be leading you somewhere else and you will have new goals to acheive. That gives you more oppertunities to celebrate.

I dont think that you will have to look very far to find out what you have achieved. If you look back over your life you will see many things that you have done that were great.

I often suprise myself and I think about what I have done. I sit there and think, "Did I really do that?" It can be an odd feeling, however, I think sometimes we lack belief in ourselves and we are actually better than what we give our selves credit for.

Commitment is the difference between people who "have potential" and people who have results.

      Thanks Desmond

The main reason for this post was to show people that success does not have to be money related. And that when you are committed you will be successful.

For those interested in learning how to have commitment then you should check out my new post
