My First $1000 online...THANK YOU WARRIOR FORUM

Since I started in internet marketing a little under a year ago, I had absolutely NO CLUE what the hell I was doing, except that I wanted to make money online. Let's be honest, we all want our Clickbank accounts to look like George Brown's or Mack Michaels.

But damn! It's been a lot harder and more complex than I expected, and here I am today not making enough to quit my day job, but to hell with it! I'm making money online and even if it only is a few hundred bucks a week, I'm proud and thankful to the people that helped get me here!

I made my first thousand this past week, and am absolutely positively HOOKED on this internet marketing stuff! I feel like someone just hit a light switch on my brain!

Just want to say thanks to anyone who gave me advice or did anything to help move me forward, whether it be paying me for a service, allowing me to pay you for a service, free advice on a thread with something I needed help with, or ANYTHING AT ALL, THANKS EVERYONE!

      And it's true what they say too! The first 1000 dollars is definitely the hardest...right along with the first $10,000, the first $100,000 and the first million! It can really only get easier for me to make $1,000's from here on out if I take what I learn and push forward!

  • Yeah, I was hooked from day one. I along wiht you was absolutely blind going it to it and looking back, I made some pretty funny mistakes, but thats how I learned.


    My advice would be to keep pushing yourself and your business, push your limits, either duplicate what you did or find other ways to monetize online.

    • Yeah, basically all I can say is at some point you have to stop buying every IMers product and just get to work rather than trying to follow everyone else! Most people who read about this stuff know how to make money online, they just don't do it, or if they do, they quit halfway through and call it a scam. What a crock.

      Be persistent if you want to make real money. Otherwise back to your day jobs with yeh!!

  • Hey guys, quick update. Since this forum post I have made a few more thousand, almost enough to save up for a much needed new car!

    Things are still rough on the water, but I'm getting a little bit faster and more consistent every day. Hopefully pretty soon here you will see me on a yacht with a hot trophy wife.

    • It is, but it's very difficult. You have to understand, most good businesses are started with some sort of capital.

      However, the blog I used to make my first thousand (and now a couple thousand dollars) online was outsourced on the WF for 40 dollars.

      If you are interested in making money cheaply online, definitely get on Travis Sago's list at bummarketingmethod.com. He is the original bum marketer and will show you how to make money while keeping your costs way, way down!

  • Great job..... The first hundred IMO was the hardest but the first 1000 is definately a close second... You have the formula and you are a do-er instead of a learner. The first 10,000 is easier than the first 1,000. So keep raising the bar and the income will be there.

      This month, August was my first $242 month and I'm a newbie at month 9! Each month I'm making a little more. I remember when I made my first 78 cents from an Amazon sale last December my first month of having my blogs up and running, I was so excited! My husband thought I was nuts.

      Everyone's right, each milestone is important and the more we share with each other the easier it is to stick with it as the snowball gets rolling.

    • Hey guys, just a quick update since it seems this thread still has some people stopping in on it every once in a while. I didn't realize I was so interesting!

      I have been making cash with decent consistency ever since that first thousand. This past month was a 1200 dollar month for me, and I made 438 of those dollars today with a broadcast to my list!

      It's amazing! I see so much money coming out of a 140 person list every single month. I am very hopeful for the future with what I could do with a 1,000 or 10,000 person list!!!

      My niche has been mainly stocks, but I've made a dollar or two in some small niches such as gaming and health.

      If you want some help making your first dollar, hit me up, I'm in the process of having some pretty interesting breakthroughs and I hope it inspires some potential entrepreneurs out there to take MASSIVE ACTION!!!!!

    • Actually, yeah! But I'm also doing some SEO for people as you can see in my signature file. It's been so successful I've actually closed it down to deal with volume of customers!

      Needless to say, I've been doing better lately. Could really use some good SEO and affiliate coaches to look at my money sites!

      My hope is to make a WSO pretty soon with some videos and awesome ebooks for people to help teach them SEO and affiliate marketing, but I still need to get better at it myself!

      I still am pushing myself towards 2k per month, getting so close. Success is within reach, I swear but AAAAGH!

  • I absolutely relate to your story. All the people who always blame the gurus for their unsuccessful business are completely wrong. In my opinion one should go through as many courses as possible even if this means to open a credit because not one course alone will bring all the knowledge you need. I have gone through George Brown's course, Google Sniper and his Traffic course release in summer 2010. The year before that I have gone through pretty much all Mack Michaels courses Maverick Money Makers and his course on success as well as cell phone cash. I have gone into trouble to get all these courses but it is worth it to get the online marketing thing from all angels. The only way to do this is to absorb as much as you can and not one single course can be the one and all solution. I find your story highly motivational and I have experienced pretty much the same income as you have. I want to thank all the gurus like George Brown and Mack Michaels who have helped me to get where I am today.

    Thanks to all the guys on the Warrior Forum who provide awesome free help when I needed it and this really pushed me forward!

      Anyways, here's some quick responses to detailed posts.

      Hi Guanxi. I've tried everything. Right now what is making me by far the most money is consulting for SEO for brick and mortar businesses. I have been very lucky to get involved with a good network of guys who have many clients and a lot of great referrals every month to make money with. This plus affiliate marketing has really skyrocketed my income in the past 4 or 5 months.

      You won't make money by goofing around on WF. Shut your door, put on some headphones and start making valuable sites and newsletters.

      I did nothing except what everyone had always told me to, and didn't allow myself to be distracted.

      Everyone has valuable advice to offer, but the hardest part of all is taking the advice to heart and taking huge action and risk.

      So, I shut the door, hit a brand new site and started cracking out articles and videos like they were going out of style in my niche.

      Within a week I had made my first sale.

      Within 2 months I had made my first 1k.

      Within a year and a half, I am making around 4k per month consistently.

      Eliminate distractions and gimmicks and do what you know in your heart you have to do, even if that means giving up a lot of social interaction and spending on fun stuff on the weekends to do it.

      Cocreator, I reached my first 10k quite a few months ago! In fact, my profits online have paid for a car and am about to get a new apartment.

      It's not anything super fancy, but it's enough to be independent without a boss or a job or anything super heavy and annoying.

      I will let you know when I hit 100k. I don't imagine that will be for quite some time but am still working

  • Congratulations, and it is good to hear your story. Right now I'm where you were a year ago. It is hard with overwhelming information out there, but one thing for sure I will not give-up because I believe in people like you. Opportunities are out there, it's a matter of time I find the way.

      Right now I'm doing 2 things:

      1. Working at home full time for an SEO firm. (Received a better offer than what I was making at the time so I couldn't resist. Soon to be working two of these gigs at once and making solid bank!)

      2. Focusing all my IM attention on a Wordpress plugin. I have it in development right now.

      It's a Wordpress plugin that delivers content instantly to a blog or website. We are going to have a network of writers and buyers to get the site moving. I'm hoping I will have a sales video by next month and will be able to launch before the end of March.

      Other than that, just chilling, getting more sleep and relaxing more than I used to, but staying focused on what I need to do to keep the gravy train coming in every month.

    My First $1000 online...THANK YOU WARRIOR FORUM

    Since I started in internet marketing a little under a year ago, I had absolutely NO CLUE what the hell I was doing, except that I wanted to make money online. Let's be honest, we all want our Clickbank accounts to look like George Brown's or Mack Michaels. But damn! It's been a lot harder and more complex than I expected, and here I am today not making enough to quit my day job, but to hell with it!
