I love Joel Osteen, he is inspirational and he brings the scripture down to the day to day activities. He is motivational, very positive and optimistic. I listen to him on Sundays and also go online to view his video streamings.

I got a CD version of his book, 'Become a Better You' and I have it in my car and listen to it over and over again. There are so many little things that we can do in life that will make a difference in our life or others'.

Take a few minutes and listen to him online or get a copy of one of his books.

  • I am a huge fan of Joel Osteen. I have three of his books and I try to watch him every Sunday night.
  • I don't have any of his books but do listern to his sermons on TV. This Guy is outstanding in his ability to break the scripture down so it makes sense to his audience.
  • I enjoy listening to Osteen too.

    Sometimes I listen to him on Sunday morning. The manner in which he brings Scripture into everyday life is unique. His voice is too, so soothing and calming.

    • I've listened to Joel for a while. I like his sermons because they are very uplifting yet they are based on scripture.

      I tell folks who don't know much about him that his sermons and books are like every "self help" book combined with the Bible. Good stuff.

  • My favorite pastor to listen to. Extremely inspirational and right on time. I'm on his daily devotional list and get his messages every day. Highly recommended!
  • I am glad to see that I am not the only one who is so inspired by him. I watch him on TV, watch him online and went to see him at the Yankee Stadium when he came to NY/NJ area.

    I love his style, his mannerism and approach and he has helped me in my spiritual development and self improvement as well.

  • His most recent topic as o now is, having now faith. Don't you love the humor he has and his intro humorous short story at the beginning of his sermon.

    He talks about believing in the NOW, having faith today, not tomorrow or in the future. Now is the time for God's favor.
  • Joel doesn't know the bible well at all. He had an extremely embarrassing interview on the Larry King Show a while ago, where he said things like atheists and Jews can get to heaven. He later was forced to apologize to his congregation for the unbiblical things that he had said.
    Joel studied television production in college, he never studied the bible at all.

  • Yes I too like Joel Osteen and listen to him on Sunday mornings before I go to church. I think his biggest attribute is being able to bring real life issues into a biblical application that we can use in our own lives. In addition he carries a natural positive attitude that is contaigeous.
  • I've never been huge into religion (thanks to my parents for forcing us to sunday school and church every weekend), but I find that I can sit and listen to Joel through a full show. I don't get the "church" feeling when I watch him but more of a self-empowerment that makes me want to do more, be better and constantly improve. I have one of his books but haven't started reading it yet. Maybe i'll need to get on that ASAP!
