A cure for the unsuccessful!

I just wanted to share my cure i found for when i was unsuccessful.

I use to search for the magic pill wanting to be successful online overnight not realising i was shooting myself in the foot.

What i eventually learnt was you have to provide what people are looking for, and most people are looking for a product/service that will fix their problem.

So i thought if i can become skilled in a certain area then i increase my value to others.

from then on i sought to become skilled in seo and blog building (just my areas of interest), and many doors have opened for myself since i focused on obtaining skills rather than making money.

So to anyone who is chasing money instead focus on obtaining skilss that others are seeking for, become not good but excellent at what you do and love it with a passion.

then as they say the money will follow.

  • Thanks Steven, wise words.

Chase money and it will flee, similar to when you chase anything. If you want money provide a valuable service to others, and fall in love with this service. Having a passion for what you do moves your mind away from chasing money. When your mind is off money, money flows to you more easily. It doesn't like being chased, it would much rather arrive on its own accord.

    • Yes, I agree with what youre saying. But indeed, we also should have creative strategy of earning money. There are many smart people, but not having good income, not because they're lazy or unskilled, but in this demanding world, being smart and skilled are not enough without creativity.

Creative to stand up when fall.
      Creative to find opportunity.
Creative to spend your time with God.
      Creative on helping others.

Then money will straight away follow.

  • It is always so great to work with someone who has pursued an area of expertise to such a point where it has become passion. Their enthusiasm is infectious and indeed 'work' becomes fun again.
  • Sage advice. Help others get what they want and you'll get what you want.
  • this is so true...I love my job because I get to share with others my expertise as a web consultant. If I was looking for money, I don't think I'd be where I am.
  • totally true steven, I was really dumb when I knew that long time ago like three years ago and started to IMPLEMENT THAT only a year ago! totally funny thing about me!
