Uncoachable

Hi,

It's very very difficult for me to stop and focus on one approach to success in life. I keep looking for other ideas which will get me closer to THE IDEA THAT NOBODY CAN SAY ANYTHING AGAINST.

Well, that's one of my problems.

I had hired a coach a few months ago, but I got distracted, and I still have many calls left.

Does that mean I am "uncoachable" ?

Did it happen to you, at some point ? Maybe at the beginning, when you were a IM newbie ?

Please let me know how you overcame that obstacle.

  • Instead of uncoachable, why not label yourself as not needing a coach?

    The obstacle is to stop trying the latest and greatest thing. Stick to one
    or a couple of things and concentrate. Research. Learn.

    In the next 2 months, I will unload the last 2 money-losing propositions.
    Closing the websites down. I hung on to them way too long. Cutting these
    out will allow me to concentrate on the winners full time.

  • All you need to do is just ignore all the 3rd party opinions and actually do it.

    There's always risks, there's just no way around it, things that are not risky don't yield very good return.

    • I try and put aside everything I think I know and be teachable. I look at what the people who have what I want are doing...then I usually start to get results.
  • I would suggest that you should make most of your coaching. I think some how you are not able to discipline yourself and learn regularly. So discipline yourself and complete the course.
  • Write a note everywhere around you- LISTEN TO THE COACH TODAY.
    Life will become better.
    Then write another note after a week ABOUT WHAT THE COACH ASKED YOU TO DO. SUCCEED.
    Keep doing this until you can do on autopilot the advice of the coach.

    I always look for any little nugget when I work with a coach. might not be much but one little nugget can be a huge step into my next direction.

    focus seems to be the answer no matter what the question.

    • The subconscious works hard to keep you exactly as you are. I find when coaching others, they usually close their minds to the coaching by either telling themselves "I already know this stuff" or "this is too simple to work".

      Both of those statements effectively shut down any further learning or growth.

      There isn't any "secret" to success. You need to eliminate old, negative beliefs which sabotage your efforts while simultaneously creating new thought patterns (neural groups) that are in harmony with your conscious goals.

      Simple, but not easy.

  • Maybe your coach is unhelpfulable (alright, alright, I tried). I suggest not trying to find that ONE RIGHT ANSWER that no one can say anything against. There's always going to be a criticism to every idea and technique that exists. Find the ideas and techniques that work for you, have confidence in yourself, and don't look for the confirmation of others as a way to know if what you're doing is working for YOU.
  • It just means that you need to develop a more powerful habit. One that's more effective and productive- which eventually replaces your current habit.

    Then do it again, until all the things that don't serve you start going away. It's all about moving towards simplicity- which is not easy.

    How long are you going to wait until you actually commit to being successful?
