Why Failure Doesn't Exist

Life is one opportunity unfolding after another. What some see as failure I see as an opportunity to learn from.

Failure exists for those who believe in failing. When you can take a lesson from something it can't possibly be a failure for it's a stepping stone to success.

Thoughts guys?

  • Failing is awesome! Ask anyone successful and they'll tell you the same. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, read "Go for No! Yes is the Destination, No is How You Get There"

  • well my advice is to keep a positive mind. Stay positive, stay happy.
  • Agreed with that seeker.

  • I totally agree! I'm not saying that I haven't felt as though I was failing at times, but after a little while I always realise why it was worthwhile, why it lead onto something better...
  • I hear you Ruth, I have felt like a failure at times too. But I convince myself more that it doesn't exist and that everything is simply an opportunity which leads to something better.

It's also helpful to remember that we were created in the image of perfection and are inherently perfect, so it's impossible for us to fail, and if anybody agrees with that statement it's their imperfect, lower self arguing for limitations again

  • I totally agree with this. I am starting to see that with every situation, even one that doesn't go my way, if I look deep enough there seems to be a lesson learned for the better (even if it isn't so clear at first).
  • No one EVER fails until they decide to stop trying..
  • I was once told this: "You can wake up in the morning and choose to learn or you can choose to fail. I choose to learn."

This is an internal mindset I believe everyone should have, choosing to learn rather than fail is conscious choice we all make, we just have to understand we make it.
  • you only fail when you quit...
  • a quote that encompasses this is "there is no failure, only feedback"

    • If you are speaking of marketing and things like that - we can say failure is not an option, or it's good to fail.

When you transpose "failure" into real life - you can fail. You can fail spectacularly in life - you can reach the edge of your endurance when you fail.

But - whether you allow yourself to stay down is a choice you make.

Failure does exist - but it can be overcome.
  • "If you want to succeed, double your failure rate." - Thomas J. Watson

It exists, but only if you let it.

And as you say, there's always a lesson to be learnt.
  • Failure does exist at different levels... I've failed more than I've succeeded... and I've succeeded more than most... and I think I just failed to spell succeeded correctly... just checked... I guess I didn't fail phwew.

Failure is good... it makes the successes better!

    • Failing and succeeding are both indulgences. Instead focus on the battle itself. Only in the battle we grow!
  • I agree with you. Failure is just a stepping stone for success. If we fail then it is normal and we have to look at it as opportunity to improve.
  • Every failure is another step closer to success
