    • I once referred to myself as a failure. A good friend of mine replied:

"you are not a failure, you are in training."

  • Yes, I always failed. But I make those failures as my stepping stone for success.
  • That which does not kill me makes me stronger.

Yes i have failed... ive been homeless twice and bankrupt once. Sucks to have to climb back up from that. A person learns what is important and what is not.

    Mike
  • I fail everyday, and I'm thankful for that. If I didn't fail, I would have no way to then succeed.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Great post- if you don't fail, you probably aren't trying to make a change and do something new.
  • Hi, there! So, you're from Butuan City? Nice to know that.

Right. We learn from our mistakes.

That's the role of FAILURES in our life. Changes only occur when things go wrong.

    • Yes, failure is just fine - at least you're doing something. You just need to make sure you succeed more times than you fail.
  • Failure is known to be the teacher of most successful ventures. Rarely does one succeed at
first attempt, ask Thomes Edison the great inventor who failed almost 10000 times!
  • Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.
    Napoleon Hill
  • Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor

  • I like that one, I like it a lot.

It resonates with me. Because I'm afraid of a lot of things, especially success. And I over-analyze and overthink a situation, when in fact, I should just... go with it. Go with the horse....

    Thanks
  • Failure is a necessary part of success. In fact I've learned more from my failures than my successes

    • Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. This is one of my favorite posts of yours that I've read to date.It seems so obvious that experiencing and growing from failure is a integral part of success - yet its something that bears repeating.
  • I'm still failing my way to success. I haven't reach any "turning" point yet. I just keep on failing! But that's learning ain't it not?

    Loves those quotes btw
  • 2 steps forward....1 step back.

    Seems to work for me.
  • To Quote JF Straw

"Show me a man who is afraid to fail...and I will show you a man who will never succeed".

  • We all got skinned and bruised, but wounds heal faster if remedied by passion and hard work. Success is not that far.

  • I like this one. Without Failure, life is boring...
  • Wow RegalWeb what an idea, thanks a lot for that very wonderful quotes, gonna BM this page.

    • My God I've had some spectacular 'fails' in my life (personally, financially, relationships)...and even though they were really painful at the time, I'm thankful for all of them...because they taught me so much about myself and how 'not' to get what I want out of life.

Thanks for posting these great quotes!
  • GREAT post with some great quotes. My personal favorite, since I failed COUNTLESS times in the past, is by Michael Jordan. "Ive failed over and over again, and that is why I succeed."
  • Failure is a part of success, its only matters on how we dealt with it and on how we rise in every time we fall. Any way I like your collection of inspirational quotes. Gonna share this to some of my friends offline who do business as well.
  • I don't know the author but I think this is a very worth quotation.

  • There is no such thing as failure, there are only results -Anthony Robbins

Above is one of my favorite quotes about success Just want to share it with my warriors. Of course we meet failures along the way, but it's a chance to learn, and rework with something to make things become better. Wishing you the best!

Btw, anyone remembers Thomas Edison? I was terrified when I know that he failed 10k times before inventing the light bulb! What an amazing human!

  • Everyone experiences failure at some point in life, and successful people experience it more than most.

"I am not discouraged because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward...Thomas Edison"

One of the great differences between successful and unsuccessful people is that successful people have learnt a major life lesson and do not see failure as a negative dead end that stops them in their tracks. Instead they see it as a learning opportunity, a signpost that helps point out the right path forward.

"Failure is, in a sense, the highway to success...John Keats"
  • Add on to your collection

"If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate."– Thomas Jefferson
  • There is no failing in this life. There are just results that gives us feedback if we are getting what we want. If we didn't get what we want then just make the changes you need to make in order to make different results.

This will instantly change your life is you accept it because this will make everything of your past "failures" just results. And this is in fact true.

    I hope this helps
  • This is the second inspirational thread ive read today. I hope one day I can have a nice outlook on failing. I guess its easy when you're incredibly successful like the gentlemen quoted above.
  • "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
    ~ Michael Jordan

    I like this one.
  • I have failed over and over again. Every time I failed people would tell me I was a failure and a bum. But every time I picked myself up again and learned from the experiences. I'm glad I failed so many times. Otherwise I would never have been able to succeed!
  • I have been failed when google adsene banned for two times........OMG
Thank you so much for sharing this. I will save and read this when I'm feeling down.
  • "The better a man is, the more mistakes he will make, for the more new things he will try. I would never promote to a top-level job a man who was not making mistakes...otherwise he is sure to be mediocre." - Peter Druker
  • These are great - Thank you
I've always found that by following those who've tried, failed, then succeed in life, my road becomes a bit "easier"
  • Thanks for this post dude. This is definitely inspiring. I actually made a wallpaper out of this: "Little minds are tamed and subdued by misfortunes; but great minds rise above them."

  • those are awesome man... In all honesty I hope nobody ever accepts the term FAILURE.

Failure can be an ASSET to you if you learn from it and if you GROW from it

So many people never achieve this stuff because they are too afraid to get rejected. And just to let you know...

EVERYONE has been rejected before in their life! Get back up and don't quit until you SUCCEED!

    • I find it interesting that Napoleon Bonaparte was listed in the quotes. If anything this highlights that failure and risk require control. The people that climb up from bankruptcy take a heck of a lot longer to get back to both a happy life and a chance at the life they want.

Napoleon never managed to build his armies back up and succeed and ended up dying a "failure".

Now on the other hand, what we perceive as risky isn't always risky. The risk of looking like a fool to your friends and family is more a perceived risk than a real risk that will stay with you for years to come. You can also afford to lose several thousand especially if it ends up being offset against your taxable income.

Should you end up with $200k in debt, it will look extremely heroic when you climb back up to the black and make a good income to go with it. But there's a real possibility that without that debt you would have a lot more in the bank at the current moment in time. You will also have less chance of cancer and terminal illnesses from the ridiculously high level of stress you just experienced.

Don't get me wrong though trying and trying again is often necessary, it just doesn't mean you should disregard the consequences of failure.
  • I've failed many times in many things from putting together a wardrobe from Ikea to setting up a business.

I then had the choice to give up or try again.

Without your failures you don't appreciate your successes.

I now have a wardrobe and a business.

Learn from failure but don't let it bring you down

    Regards

    • Yes, I have failed. I have failed because I was passive and inactive, I learned from it now I'm doing everything I can to kick start with an online business.

There are times when you just need to be reminded again and again and by some miracle its the Nth reminder that brings you into an important realization and then you spring into action.
  • The concept is basic, failure is an agent of change for you to succeed, do not let the negative perception surrounding it bring you down. You are responsible for your life and not turn into a positive experience.
  • I've had campaigns that have FAILED miserably, and it is incredibly discouraging when you lose money instead of gain. That being said, along with my failures I've had a lot of success so far, and it has outweighed my failures. Your best bet is to just grab this whole IM thing by the balls and go for the ride! You're bound to succeed.
  • Failure, is not when an objective isn't met, its when you stop working towards the objective.
  • Everyone fails, but not everyone succeeds. You need to fail to succeed.
Failure are opportunities to succeed, however not everyone looks at them as opportunities.
  • It would seem that failure is a great opportunity to look back and see where NOT to go again.
