Inside the Mind of the Elite

I've been studying ruthlessly for years now, applying what I've learned into my life, and created some massive power in my world. Of course, I've read books like Think and Grow Rich, and Success through a Positive Mental Attitude, but I've also been in books like the Success Principles by Jack Canfield and Get the Life you Want (NLP, Richard Bandler). Having learned an abundance of power from these books, and applied them into my life, I learned that there are some consistencies all across the board, in people who just "know how to be great."

The Elite to me, is a breed of human, that no matter the conditions of the environment, the conditions of the economy, they always find a way to come out on top. They're everywhere if we just look for them. They're in the personal development section of the book store, they're in YOUR OWN BRAIN when you never relent and you somehow make things happen, and they're all around you, even in everyday people. I've found that most people have extraordinary insights and ideas, but programming that doesn't allow them to put it into action into the world. The point is, with this concept of the "Elite," you can learn a lot if you're looking for what they're doing. I'm a firm believer in modeling, or just examining the actions of other people that are successful in a specific thing, and doing the same kinds of things. The people that we can model, are all over the place, if we make it a habit of looking for them!

Getting inside the mind of the elite, I believe, is how we can embody the principles and the strategies to actually become that! Pull from everyone! Pull from yourself, pull from books, pull from psychology, pull from NLP, pull from great entrepreneurs, pull from the titans in internet marketing and any other source you can actively engage! Thanks for reading.

    • Very nice post. Your thoughts are right on and you expressed them quite eloquently! I firmly believe that there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Just follow in the footsteps of those who are successful and worthy of emulation.

We could live a hundred lifetimes and there would still be much room for self improvement. We will never know it all so we have to always be careful not to project that we do. Nobody likes someone who thinks they have all the answers.

The greatest joy in this life is the ability to help others with the knowledge you have acquired. Do this unselfishly and from the heart and Karma will surely reward you many times over. The world is full of self-centered, greedy takers. What we need is a lot more givers!

Give of yourself with no expectation of reward and you will invariably be compensated in ways you could never imagine. That just seems to be the way the universe works.

  • You're right. I think that many people have the perception that the Elite are smarter than they are...when in fact it is just a matter of consistent focus.

    • This is delicious! This is the most powerful explanation that I have ever encountered. I definitely will be getting "Inside the Mind of the Elite." Yours, Jae Smith
    • I used to think like this... but lately I have come to realize a couple of things.
Many of those in the elite are there by bloodline and education. They are not particularly clever, they just have space to grow, which many of the others don´t.

Have you seen how the kids are educated? you would be surprised. Kids don´t watch tv or play videogames, they eat only organic foods from selected places, many are home-schooled.

while our kids ride bikes or play in the computer, they are sitting in board meetings listening. Once they are old enough they start working in different stages of the business to gain street knowledge and specifically, a hands on approach on dealing with "normal" people.

there are also other elements, like networks and favors. Coming from middle class, I only needed to loan half of the value of my first place, my dad and my fiance´s father at that moment helped us with the rest. Well... take that in a 1,000,000 scale for these guys.

There are though some self made guys and gals i respect a lot, like Tonny Robins, Wayne Dyer, etc... you can agree with the content or the form of their messages, but they made it by themselves following their own intuition. They made for themselves a comfortable life, and helped with opening people to awareness. These are the guys I´m interested in learning about.

there is one guy that was one of the boys and changed sides. He brings a somewhat distressing scenario, but still interesting

  • I agree. You make a lot of valid points. One problem people will often face is that they fail to adapt.

let me explain. You have made several comments above which are great keys for success. The problem is people will shrug them off and say " Pfft... I know that " but yet they are still stuck in the same spot they were years ago.

I want to simplify your whole post into a few words:

You need to understand how people work, react, socialize, and understand their habits. Once you begin to understand some of those habits you can control any situation and have success beyond your wildest dreams.

If you fail to understand "BOTH" view points you will always be on the losing end. You need to look at whatever it is your doing, from every angle and make the best decision you can based on those facts.

Emotionless - is what you need to be

( so much for me simpling your post...lol )

Thanks for sharing tha tbit of knowledge. I hope others will take away from it.

  • People get when they giving more than they know When you teach the area you are good at you can only get better and better at it by answering and researching the materials.
  • Failure is success if we learn from it.
  • Really liked your post, you bring up a lot of good points. As for the rich owning anyone anything? I don’t believe that. I’m not wealth, but NO ONE owes me anything! If they would like to give advice I’d be happy to learn from them.

Too many people think they are owed something these days. My grandparents worked hard and made a good living for themselves and saved. No one gave them anything.

Of course people have helped me along the way, parents, grandparents, family, friends, teachers, and others I’ve never met. I’m hungry for knowledge and read whatever I can get my hands one. But no one OWES me anything.

I believe it’s nice and right to help but that is a person’s right to give or not. I believe by giving and helping others you in turn help yourself and it makes for a better place to live.

  • I really think you need to edit it to elite performers. when you say elite i think about all the people who see themselves as better than the masses. who see themselves as a sort of privleged ruling class.

But elite performers are different. they have found not only the place where they excel. but they have also found away to produce 20-100 maybe 1000 times or more than the average performer.

The real difference between the two is the elite performers always push themselves to a higher level. The average performer gets to a certain point and treads water or coasts.
  • Thanks for the great post! Think and Grow Rich is an absolutely essential read for anyone who genuinely desires to be rich.
