The great difference between the mediocre and the rich is the information that they possess, not the money they have in hand.Give an average man 1 million dollars and he may still go bankrupt but give a rich man 1000 dollars and he will turn it into millions of dollars because he has information on how to multiply money. That is the difference.

  • It's definitely the skillset that is the most valuable.
  • I'm going to have to politely disagree with the previous posts on this thread. Information and skill set are not the difference.

The mediocre have both information and skills. Yet, they're not rich.

Some of the richest people have less information and skill. In fact, Henry Ford insisted that he surround himself with those more informed and skilled than him.

So what do the rich have that the mediocre don't?

They have a vision that drives them. It's not money. If you think wealth is just collecting money, then stop spending and only work. You'll end up with more money but hungry, homeless, and burnt out.

Envision your life the way you want it. Take time every day to burn it into your mind. Visions aren't just funky little corporate statements that look politically correct. It is an image so powerful it haunts your mind not to have it.

That's the difference between the mediocre and the rich.
  • The rich definitely do not need to be the smartest people in the world
They know how to be a leader, know how to talk and be extremely convincing, know how to delegate responsibility.
And they do have a vision, persistence and a clear picture of exactly what they want to accomplish.

  • I think the difference is the opportunities they encounter. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it has to be some grand opportunity, if thats the case a lot of us small guys are out. I feel that the wealthy or well off not only encounter some of the better opportunites but CREATE some of the better opportunities for themselves.

I believe the no excuses attitude goes a long way. Not just with money, but with anything one may desires to have and feels worthy of.
  • I think this thread is pointless and that OP was just bumping his post-count.

    • The most successful people that I know have both a vision and are constantly testing ideas that will improve their position - moving them towards their vision.

The vision, of course, is not about wanting more money/wealth/abundance. That only reinforces the idea of lack - something like constantly running behind a Rolls Royce and never quite catching it.

The vision is about having and enjoying (in the present) the experience of money/wealth/abundance, etc.

The vision provides direction and is the catalyst for the passion which drives you towards it.
