  • We have no excuse other than that we've simply failed to follow through in doing so, as we can achieve and develop ourselves to incredible heights. What we perceive is impossible is only an illusion, and much of the world around us, including the people we love, tend to give us a "reality check", trying to convince us to "get a real job".

    The fact of the matter is that there are very few things in the world that you have absolute control over, and one of those things is your own thoughts. Your own thoughts and how you use them will make or break you, will get you to earn $10,000+ or keep you from earning anything at all.

    I've finally come to a point in my life that I was able to untangle the disempowering beliefs that were holding me back, and believe me, some of them were VERY deep-rooted.

    When we can focus on our goals long-term, make a plan and stick to it, then that's our plan of action, and for not following it, well that shows the only thing stopping us is our choice not to actively follow through.

    It used to be a lack of time. Now that this is no longer an issue, I am building towards the milestone. I'll hit it sooner rather than later.

  • Once you TRULY decide that yopu will acheive the goal of $10,000 per month NOTHING will stop. Most people have not created a big enough reason WHY.

    There in lies the power of the mind...once they create this unwavering desire and true heartfelty conviction to acheive this goal they become an unstoppable force.

    Someone in this frame of mind never asks themselves what will stop me from making $10K per month...they simple accept there will be challenges and obstacles along the way and they are always committed to finding a solution or workaround to these issues and the end goal is always the driving force.

    As one of my mentors once said...if your encounter an obstacles on your journey to success just go over it, under it, around it or through it...don't just stand there...TAKE SOME ACTION!!

    The day I decided to put this THING and earning the money first, making time whatever it took - I am making it possible to earn 10k a month. I'm not there yet- but I'm close - very close. And that's exciting.

    Believe it can happen first and foremost.

    And then realise the only way it will - is if YOU make it.

  • I'm not making $10k per month (yet), but I'm steadily getting there. Started from nothing
    when I realized that I could achieve anything that I could think of, if I put enough effort
    and time into it. The only limits are those in our heads that we impose upon ourselves.
    Once you realize and accept that full-heartedly, nothing can stand in your way.

    So the short answer would be - nothing stops me, but it can't be done overnight.

      It creates awareness so that you can know what limiting thoughts you're up against and make the necessary changes to succeed.

  • I think for me it's that I hesitate about selling any product that conflicts with my morals and values - and I've got pretty demanding morals and values. Once I get that all sorted out and find something that resonates with me, though - I should be golden.

      They are not things that should hold you back.

      You really don't need money to build an online Income, everything you need can be done for free, (well apart from the $9 to buy a domain name and hosting) If you don't have even that much then use wordpress.com or blogger.

      Lack of time isn't an issue if you really want to make it online but it can be a convenient excuse for lack of success.

      you can find 2 or 3 hours easily on a daily basis , sleep 6 hours instead of 8, don't go on face book until you've finished the tasks you've set.. stop watching the biggest loser on TV. If you are on a bus take the time to write the outline for a blog post or article..


      Why not start a time diary and note how long you spend doing things each day then learn to organise your time better.

  • It is just a matter of attitude and inspiration. Well, so far I don't find any problem in earning such amount.
  • I've heard this thousands of times before and never thought/believe anything on this can be stopping me... until very recently when I was thinking through what's stopping me and I realized all these negative, self limiting, self talk that I've not been conscious on.

    Now, am more conscious of these and taking every effort to rephrase these to positive self talk

    And at the same time getting clearer of my Reason Why to succeed!
  • I think self talk and your reason why is completely huge. Before I started telling myself positive things I wasn't getting any customers and now I have blossomed and it feels really great!

    Think about your reason why and then post it everywhere in your house so you can see it.

  • It is now almost the end of the second year that I started with Internet Marketing, spent a fair amount of money on different coaching programs, WSOs and software products, with no $1 earned yet . But I do not yet give up. I must be doing something wrong and I am going to find what. So I don't think that working hard stops me, I guess it is not working smart enough, may be? Not finishing a project to the end another problem - I probably sort of give up on what is not working straight away and start something else.

    • This is a very common issue; you strat something with great energy-when it becomes clear it won't 'fly' right away you get discouraged and start on a new project for the energy kick this brings..and so-on. STOP, go back and review-get Christine Clayfield's ebook: From Newbie to millionaire-it is incredibly practical, you can follow the steps, she was in the same position-a Warrior here also. It helped me a lot from this syndrome.

  • This is a very powerful question we should ask ourselves on a regular basis if we are not getting closer to our much cherished goal. Staying true and committed to our goal is the only key to success. And as some one very rightly said in this thread that there are going to be obstacles and one should always strive to remove them and surge ahead.

  • I can't speak for any other warriors, but for me it is a lack of genuine know-how and the inability to take proper action when the right information is present. There is so much to test and do, fear and finances really limit a person. Coaching always seems like the way to go, but prices are often out of reach for a beginner. I am not making excuses, that has just been my experience so far. I look forward to the time when I am past all of this doubt and un-knowing, so that I may help others as well. It makes it kind of tough (morally) to give advice about something I have not yet achieved.

  • It's the believe that you can do it. I'm having that problem now but I've found a mentor to give me some direction to possible do this. Once you've done something then the mind takes over to repeat the process again and again.

  • It depends, $10K isn't really that much of a milestone if you have sound business systems in place. This is what every entrepreneur should strive to do. Setting up systems that can be easily replicated and sold off to new owners for a big fat check.

  • I think for most people it is lack of the correct knowledge and then it is sufficient persistence and productive action to act upon that correct knowledge without being diverted.

  • Finding the right people to work with, to find people who really do want to help each other out with their businesses, who have the right skills, and the right skill-match to you. It would have been helpful 10 years ago to know there are so many awesome people out there, I wouldn't have been scared to jump in more back then. Now a days, over the fear part and knowing lots of people, but it's the time it takes to find all the ones in the right places over time, because it takes time and not everyone is suited to everyone. It's like a used to have a great assistant and they changed careers. I had a great assistant who did copy and then didn't want to do anything else. Then I got a great JV but needed a computer repair guy in person for a huge glitch. I got partners in some areas and outsource, but no main assistant or help who sees it all like I do, for all the little things. Gotta keep at it - build your network of like-minded, win-win-win buddies. But then again that's part of the fun. But to answer this main question in this thread - it's hard doing it all alone. I want to work with people, but not be stuck in an office with them all day, LOL.

  • I think whats stopping me right now is my lack of experience. If I knew how to make 10k a month I would be making 10k per month. It not a lack of taking action for me I mean I experiment and try and figure out how to make it work.

    Its not knowing and not enough experience. So I am changing that given that I think I know the problem. I am seeking counsel from experienced people to advise me. Time will tell!!!!$$$

  • For more people I know it is simply one word: "Distraction" ... Focus is the key ... Don't get distracted by the next shiny biz opportunity when you are already working on something great.

    THAT folks, is the ONE and ONLY thing that will stop ANYBODY from the results that they want.
  • A wise guy told me to convert excuses into objectives by writing a list of exuses first like this:
    1) I don't have a website
    2) I don't know how to create a product
    etc..

    And then convert those excuses into objectives:
    1) Learn to create a website
    2) Learn to create a product

    And then convert that into questions like this:
    1) How do I learn to create a website?
    2) Who can teach me? or, where can I go to learn?

    And create a todo list:
    1) Find a course on creating websites
    2) Ask warriors which course is best
    ect...

    Now it is all down to the question? Is all this work worth it? To answer that, you have to look at your WHY. Why do you want to make $10.000 online? What would change in your life?

    Many times I guess the WHY isn't strong and clear enough to make a person hop through all the loops on the road, so my suggestion is to: Write it on the wall where you sit in .

  • Suprisingly PEOPLE. Every dude/girl who is jellous of your ideas/motivation/success unfortunelly is willing to demotivate you.

    Do you know anybody of your friends doing so? If not, you're lucky as hell. It's just a social dynamic, people want to achieve success but they dont like watching someone successful.

    Than they (as I already wrote) tell you that, thing you're doing is pointless, nonsens ect. Forbid them, change your environment.

I'm lucky if I get 3 subscribers from a 20000 member mailing at Downline Builder Direct. I am thoroughly frustrated with everything, including Wordpress.   • Aaahhh, the $10k milestone, why does that seem to be the magic number? I've had plenty of good why's and that kept me trying. I think down deep I just didn't think I could do it. I had bought into what I thought other people thought about me. I'm getting there faster these days even if it has taken me a long time who cares as long as I get there.

  • For me none. If you really want to earn 10k per month you will do everything to achieve that goal. If you lack knowledge you have the internet to know everything that need to know, whereas for time all you need is time management.
  • I think spreading myself too thin along with market changes have forced me to switch business paths, while still doing work online I've had to reinvent my business. Nevertheless it won't be long until the consistency hits. I've had great 10k++ months then spent months in drought, so finding consistency would be great.

    • Yes. Action is one of the key to implement what we learned. It is easier to learn all about internet marketing but is another thing to consistently do it to make it work.

  • A lack of knowledge, it can't be a lack of time because the seconds, minutes and hours keep coming one after the other. You just have to sacrifice and work towards what you want.
  • Anthony Robbins talks about making things a MUST. I believe this is one very key thing that holds us back.

    An example in my life was that last December I made it a MUST to go on a month long trip with my family of 5. I had been reading the 4 hour workweek and studying it over and over.

    I grasped hold of the concept and even though I didn't cut back I increased in self motivation and pushed a little past $10,000 in November and we went on a trip to Florida. We went on a 7 day cruise, went to all the major Disney parks and finished off on the Tampa side of Florida for the last 2 weeks on the beach.

    I made it a MUST and as soon as that was done the MUST went out the door and I dropped back down to a NEED income.

    Now I am going to Europe so I am ramping it up. Europe is a MUST!

    • I suppose having the proper resources. There are a few aspects of my business that are costing me quite a bit that I'm pretty sure I can get done more efficiently. If i could get those tasks streamlined I am sure things would be a lot more profitable. I think I'm in between the zone of hard work and smart work. I want all of it to be intelligently crafted, but of course that requires great insight.

    In my experience the main reason is that people do not find what they truely value and what's important to them.

    there ae literally thousands of ways to make it online but if you are not finding the one that clicks with you and it important to you are going to fail.

    everyone want to sel you there system and people ask is this going to work? all the time but they should ask theselves is this something that ties in with my values and it important to me?

    The don't believe they can. They don't have faith that they can.. so they hardly even try.

    Or they keep flailing around buy things they hope will lead them to the promised land with no effort on their part.

    The methods are clearly out ther for people to grasp.. so why they don't is purely self doubt IMHO.

    Wrong Mindset.

    All of the things are started from mindset. Have you ever thought whatever you do in your daily life is all started from your way of thinking ? Let's compare these two conditions below.

    1. Supposed you are thinking that making $100 bucks online in a month is impossible !!!
    What do you do then with that mindset ? Of course, you won't read online marketing books, you won't practice making money online even with simple way, etc.

    2. On the other hand, you are thinking that making $100 bucks online is very possible !!!
    What do you then ? Of Course, you'll read good tutorial, practice it, learn it until you got success.

    See the difference ? Just be careful with your mindset. It can bring you to the success way, and also it can bring you to the ruin.

  • What stops most people is SIMPLY MINDSET! You can do it! I'm doing it
  • Here's the best method:

    1. Find a method on Warrior Forum (or any other forum) that you think will work for you. Download the method to a Word document or a PDF document.

    2. Follow through with that method and don't stop following through on it.


    3. If you find success, continue with it.

    4. If you don't, choose a new method.

    That is all.
  • Sometimes there is nothing you can do as your time has not yet come! It's simple as that. However when your time comes life will bring you a mentor who will lead you to the right destination. The one thing is mandatory - regardless whether or not you are making 10K a month you must keep trying and don't give up. Success can be around the corner. Yes it can be so we want to be prepared. Few weeks ago this happened to me. I was an accomplished Internet Marketer but for the light of me I was not achieved the kind of success that I often thought about. It doesn't mean I am not already a success. I made money off line already and I am able to support my family. But the dream of a successful internet marketer eluded me until now. I often felt every step of the way in this area I was thwarted until now. I feel I got the key now to making a success in this area as well. It's not about a product and it's not about not having the right attitude -- it's about the right time, the right place and meet the right mentor.

  • I think it is confidence sometimes and the fact there are so many other talented people around that you compare yourself to. Plus you need to take the ups and downs as they come and they do come. Having a business model that is always needed. Think bigger rather than implementing small solutions. You are responsible for your own destiny you just have to make sure you are consistent to get there.

    Pretty sure you wouldn't need to invest positive energy/affirmations/self belief...etc into doing it if you knew how - you'd just do it. Right?

    • Yes. Action is very important to reach your goals. As one can learn all the strategies online but until those strategies are put into action, nothing will get done.
  • Noel, that's like telling people to "search the oceans and you'll find the one golden drop". Millions of people have been searching for this and obviously if it were that simple it would have been found or several would have been found. I have found something that works for me thought it's still a little bit to much work for me and so I keep looking for something that will suit me better or be a little more passive. Do YOU know where it is?

  • I have no problem making $10,000, $20,000 even $30,000 - $40,000 photographing one weekend a month. This weekend I have 38 half hour sessions to shoot and my average profit per session runs from a low of just over $500 to just over $1,000 but I don't make anywhere near that online and its not from a lack of trying. So I'm beginning to suspect that it must be my mindset and trying to do to many things instead of just focusing on what works best for me. And I figure with all I have going for me, if I'm struggling online, it must be way worse for people who have to work 40 hours a week and have little money or skills to leverage. At least I can hire VA's to help me. I'll eventually get to $30,000 per month online but its a lot more work than what I imagined. It's easier to be a lazy photographer and I'm not even a good photographer. It's my photoshop VA's that make me look good. So I should be able to at least match my offline income online but so far I'm still missing a couple of pieces to the puzzle.

  • I think what stops me from making 10k per month would be the lack of determination and focus. I couldn't seem to focus and I think being lazy is also one of the biggest factor.

  • I think it is the lack of discipline. Everybody is given 24 hours in a day. It takes discipline to sit down and work on your business and to have the focus to only master one strategy and sell one product. Many spread themselves too thin when they jump from one strategy to another.

    • I think it results from not having a plan or a strategy and not sticking to it. You see the same thing in weight loss or any other situation where someone is trying to create a change.

      The problem is we often want things to happen immediately. When they don't happen, we abandon the idea and think it doesn't work when we haven't given it the time to actually work. I know, I did this for the last 6 months. I was making progress but it wasn't enough for me. If I had stuck to the plan I would be a lot further on down the path to 10k then I am right now after searching for the next best (quicker) thing rather then sticking to what was already working.

      Part of the problem stems from not really knowing what to do or how to do it. The other part is the result of thinking that you are being productive when you really aren't. I just launched a new niche site and look at the analytics today and got down. I sat there and then thought about how much work I REALLY did..... The answer? None. I wrote a few articles and then checked stats the rest of the time. I think that personally, I don't work as hard as I think that I do to make money. I don't sacrifice other things and wake up earlier to make more free time. When I do have time I give a half assed effort.

      For the remained of this year, and 2013 I am committing to actually working hard and sticking to the plan. I hope that at this time next year I can update this thread with significant progress on the way to 10k.

  • I think my biggest roadblock is not knowing HOW. The WHY is obvious, bigger financial freedom, the ability to invest. WHAT is what it takes and what you will be doing, but I can't answer this before knowing HOW and how to keep FOCUS on the goal.

  • I used the secret and manifested 10K per month, unfortunately because no new money was made my drug dealer lost his 10K per month and now I have no bowl to rip through tonite.
  • I got plenty of times and lack of motivation. But i'm still lack of knowledge and experience, so makes me doubt when i want to take action and. Well, it's a long way for me to keep improve myself.
  • In a word "YOU". You are the only one stopping you from making $10k per month. All those other things like lack of time, money etc, are all just excuses.

    The ones that do make 10k are the ones who are resourceful. So in other words, resourcefulness is what you need, not resources!

  • Everything that you cannot do, are just excuses my friend. You have to have an action plan. Unless you don't, you will suffer. Try focussing more on what your drawbacks are. Once you know your drawbacks, your strengths come out stronger.

    prevents people from making that kind of money is a lack of understanding, a lack of

    work, or you're not in that stage in your career yet. The marketing business is very

    similar to any other business. Why, you wouldn't come up with a idea for a dinner today

    and go buy a 7 series Mercedes tomorrow would you? Not likely, but the income is very

    much achievable but there is a process that must be learned first. Once you've learned it

    you know it and you know how to repeat it over and over and get the same result again

    and again. I enjoyed this post and look forward to reading more.

    but i think that it actually does not really matter, we all can make 10 K if we really want - nothing can stop us if we want to be successful as much as we want to breath - check the video, it really inspired me:

    so actually, coming back to your question: we hold ourselves back because we are not dedicated enough?
    when i check at me i can say that i often get easily distracted and dedicate myself to another project - so my main project sits there and i don't do anything with it... bad enough. so that video really says it all: no days off if you really want to be successful

  • I'm a perfectionist who lacks both the skill and the finances to make a perfect anything, and I'm stuck thinking that because I wouldn't buy anything from my site, nobody would. Therefore, I have nothing.
  • For me it is 'belief'. I don't believe I can make $10k per month. It is exactly like the model that Tony Robbins talked about in the Frank Kern/John Reese interview.

    "Some" belief > Limits potential > take action > crappy results > less belief of succeeding > and the spiral continues down until I stop trying until I can get over the lack of positive results.

    It is that along with being overwhelmed with information and becomming paralyzed and not taking any action.
