Do you guys believe in cause and effect. That all the karma that we are facing are only because of us?

    I believe in cause and effect, that one thing will inevitably lead to something else happening, so on and so forth. I personally can't say I buy into the idea of karma though. Just doesn't make sense to me that some disembodied entity is "keeping score".

    I prefer to do right because it is what I have been conditioned to do, and I have seen the positive results that come from it. Being a good person because I fear the consequences of acting otherwise just seems forced in my opinion.

    • cause and effect is what makes us different from lower animals.

      if you can choose a thought, feeling, or action with the positive expectation to encounter a specific effect!
      That is the essence of human nature, motivation, and self-improvement.

      To create your own and have them happen across time that animals cannot do.

      cause ---> conscious event ---> effect

      I view karma as another way of saying, "Whatsoever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap."

      What goes around comes around or karma or however you state it is simply another version of this. IMHO.

      And yes, I believe in cause and effect.

    • I believe that it's not the action itself that causes the effect, but it's due to the intention behind it.
      After all, thought and intention is the cause of your action.

  • i believe in karma but not in every moment i've been through is about karma.
    for me that's just like life balance.
    there is minus and positive, male and female, long and short etc.
    so it's not all about karma.

  • It's like similar to "what you sow is what you reap". That whatever we sow in our life and in the lives of the people around us, will give you back a harvest of that.

    • for sure you make a choice, choices have consequences whether good or bad if you choose to be around good people it is more likely you with have good opportunities if you hang out with bad people you will end up surrounded by negativity and maybe put into a position where you will make a bad choice be a good person surround yourself with good people help people at every opportunity "if you help enough people get what they want eventually you will have everything you want" ,i think that was dale Carnegie or Napoleon hill i forget
