I have the same feeling after i read the secret and the power. I also think they are similar in general.

Well, i personally think that the book did change my attitude towards life and also towards people. It changes my attitude as in now I make "saying thank you" as a habit, and appreciate the good things which come into my life.

Regarding to the attraction part, I still hold the same concept where visualize something will somehow kick start our brain to find a solution either consciously or subconsciously. however to get actual result in life, we must always take action first. I believe there's no such thing like sitting down, visualize and the thing you wished will fall from the sky. Take action is definitely a must.

I also feel i did not start taking action early enough. I waited till I was almost suffering from an information overload.

I enjoyed the Secret & The Power. The secret literally changed my life and how I saw things. It literally skyrocketed my lifestyle to the next level within a year or two. But it was because I took action. I think too often people read things like The secret and just think that positive thoughts are enough. They tend to miss the part about taking action when opportunities now appear that you weren't aware of before. So they're powerful books if you take action.

Otherwise you'll feel good for a bit and then revert back to your normal bad habit ways. I was so sick of hearing from people around me that think these books don't work, it inspired me to write a post to shut them up. LOL
