Hi everyone,

Noting the amazing feedback I have had on Think and Grow Rich, I thought I'd also offer you Napoleon Hill's first book, which was The Law Of Success in 16 lessons.

The book was written in 1928...his first in fact! This work was the result of interviewing the greats of society during that time...

You are welcome to it...

The Laws of Success

For those who doubt the validity of The Law of Success, it might interest you to know just how Napoleon Hill created this work.

In 1908, Hill was given an assignment by a magazine which he was then editor of, the assignment of interviewing Andrew Carnegie (the richest man in the world at that time). Carnegie was so impressed with Hill that he asked him if he'd devote 20 years to traveling the country and interviewing the richest men for the purpose of learning their secrets of success and compiling it all into a philosophy. Carnegie felt this would be a "blueprint" to success for generations yet to be born. Here's the kicker: Carnegie told Hill that he'd have to pay his own way the entire 20 years. This was because Carnegie wanted Hill to prove that the information he was receiving from the titans of industry he interviewed actually worked for him. Long story short, Napoleon Hill completed his textbook philosophy in 1925 and called it "The Law of Success." He didn't release it to the public though, he only printed enough to give to the people whom he interviewed. Then in 1928, he released The Law of Success for the masses. He released it in 1928 instead of 1925 in order to keep his promise to Andrew Carnegie. That promise of working 20 years on this project.

By the way, there's a story floating around that Henry Ford and the other super wealthy came together to pull the 1925 edition off the market, but that's not true. It is true, however, that Hill edited the 1928 edition, but not for the reason people claimed. The 1928 version claims more filler information in order to meet the publisher's needs, whereas, the 1925 edition (which I have an authenticated copy of), is written in a more organized fashion.

  • If you are a fan of Napoleon Hill then checkout his latest book that was published, get this, in 2011!

Yes, that is correct. He had a book that is even greater than Law of success and its been hidden away from more than 70 years. Its finally been published last year.

I will not reveal the name of the book. You'll have to look it up for yourself, for if you go through this process the chances are higher that you will end up reading and learning from it

One question though, is the book "Laws Of Success" the same as "Think And Grow Rich"?

The link on your first post talks about the first but the link contains "Think And Grow Rich", not "Laws Of Success".

Still thanks a lot, I had just lost my copy of TAGR.
  • Thanks for sharing I have to take out some time this weekend
  • Here is Joe Vitali talking about 'think and grow rich' as well as the 'laws of success'.

So basically, 'think and grow rich' was the abridged version.

  • I have The Law Of Success in my backpack right now along with The Science of Getting Rich (my all time favorite book).

I think the Law Of Success is a great book, almost as good as Think & Grow Rich.

I like all of the Laws, but the Law about liking people more than money is an important one that I think people should pay more attention to.

The Internet has created some distance between us and people, but we're still dealing with people. Helping people improve their life is at the heart of all financial success. If you like people more than money, you're setting yourself up for success...
