The biggest factor that the two have in common is that they both can be turned on to shine light on any situation and used to see you through darkness. Yes just like the flip of a switch it is simple to crank up your determination and get what it is that you want to get.
Determination is that crucial element that allows you to persist and continuously go after something that you want, no matter what it is, and achieve it. Many great inventors and successful people have failed miserably many times before they succeeded and accomplished what they set out to do. There is a man, whom of which you may know, by the name of Thomas Edison. This man set out to achieve a goal so big that it would completely change the way that we live. His goal was to devise am incandescent light bulb which would illuminate an entire room. While in the process of creating and working to design the perfect bulb he received no support from his family, little or no support from his friends, and a large amount majority of people called him crazy and did not believe that he was capable of such an invention. And not to mention Thomas Edison had failed over 9,000 times. Now after one failed attempt most people either ball up and cry or quit and try something else. After one trial and error they would move on to the next thing and continue this path bumping from one thing to the next only destined to achieve failure. Here in the case with Thomas Edison he decided to continue forward in pursuit of his goal. Failure was not an option for this man. After 1,000 more failed attempts at getting it right he had finally put together a bulb that would shine light and change the world. After 10,000 failed attempts he had finally succeeded in creating the light bulb.
Determination will be one of your closest allies when facing rough times. It will be your best teammate when the game is on the line. And it will push you through any wall or mental barrier that you may face. Nothing will stop you as long as your determination to succeed is strong enough.
