I'm new to IM, just trying to get started. I've spent the last two months researching, reading, etc.. The only real start I have made is to set a couple of goals, and become more confused . Long term - financial independence, do what I want to do, work when I want. Immediate short term - catch up and pay the mortgage and the bills.. I lost my job, used up the 401k, am living on unemployment (which is now waiting for the extension to kick in), half of which goes to prescriptions (even generic and all the manufacturer and store discounts), blah, blah, blah....
Any starting suggestions for the confused?

But with all I've read, reviewed, seen , questioned, etc... I've just become more confused on where to start. Most of the programs that I think would be step by step helpful are too expensive for me right now. The few less expensive (under $100) really don't give step by step information on how to do whatever.
Anyone have any suggestions on which way to go? Any suggestions on programs, groups, etc.. that are not expensive? How did you start?
I am the type to keep determination on motivation going once I understand and get started, it's just this getting started thing...
