Reprogramming The Subconcious Mind

Ok, so I have this really negative belief about myself which I want go into that much.

For the last 4 days I have been doing incantations (incantations are basically affirmations but said with excitement and embodied) and have recorded 5 sentence long affirmation on loop to play while I sleep.

On Day 1 I saw a massive change in the way I felt and behaved. However, on Day 2 and 3 I went back to being normal (well slightly better than normal but no where near as Day 1). Why is this?

Is there an easier way to reprogramme the subconcious?

I appreciate any ideas, answers and suggestions!

  • Look into NLP (NeuroLinguistic Programming) and also look into learning how to enter a trance state.
  • I'm also having a few challenges with reprogramming the subconscious, it could be how I view myself (self image).

    How about designing the incantations around how you view yourself. So for example if I wanted to do a success ritual in the morning (Wakeup productive), I would do the incantation that I'm the kind of person who does success rituals, I naturally do these success rituals. I would also visualize myself doing these rituals and feel how effortless it is to do the success rituals, they are a part of me.

    I have done something similar with writing and I have written much more the last two months, than I did the previous 12 months. I'm not where I want to be, but its good progress.

  • You need to look into trance states through meditation. Finding a good hypnotist is another option but REALLY hard to do. Finding good people is always a challenge and when you do find them paying them a reasonable price becomes the challenge.

    Your brain has been exposed to negative thinking for years and it's easy to change but you've got to learn to let go and accept yourself and the changes. You'll get there I'm sure!!

    I've had some really amazing changes in my life through meditation and using binaural beats and hypnosis MP3s. Here are a few place (none of these are affiliate links but if you're an affiliate marketer I bet you could buy through your own affiliate link and save a few dollars).

    Hypnosis MP3s / CDs - Hypnosis Audio Downloads (I believe this is run by a Warrior member)
    Hypnotic Laws (This is on Clickbank - buy thru your own affiliate link)
    Quantum Jumping - Interdimensional quest for a better you - Quantumjumping.com (This is a great program on visualization and meditation - comes with some binaural beats too - maybe the marketing is a bit out there).

    I've used the 3 above and am happy. The Quantum Jumping is probably too expensive if you're hard on money right now but I did like the program a lot and it taught me a few important lessons.

    I would say that learning how to do really deep meditation has helped me to get focused and earn money online a lot more than any internet marketing product I've purchased.

    • You might want to try meditating with such audio tracks as Brainsync. Just Google it. Their manifest prosperity and wealth creation audios are tuned to just the right frequencies to get you charged up over time.

      I used the subliminal "manifest prosperity" with at least one full 30 minute listen a day and felt myself slowly float into the direction of taking charge on a grander scale and feeling empowered to just get things done. Money then follows from what my actions brought forth. Some people don't get much effect out of music so it's your best bet to at least TRY it to see if it works for you. The tracks themselves are only $10, so they're nothing compared to other meditation programs.

      Q Jumping - I don't know anything about but I see ads for that site all over AdSense & Google AdWords. Someone is making a killing there :-)

    The regression or drop back you describe is quite normal. Remember that it is the thought behind the though that actually controls our thoughts, emotions and beliefs.

    Incantations are a tool that can assist in reprogramming of the mind, but there are many more.

    If you had a large broken pipe you would require a bigger wrench to get the job done.

    NLP has an awesome box of tools however they are primarily for the conscious mind and remember that real change happens on the Unconscious level. The Unconscious mind is where the thought behind the thought originates.

    If you have a leek in the basement you wouldn't go to the attic to fix it. You can try creative visualization or if you want a powerful tool, try Nlp at the Unconscious level.   • Listening to audio incantations, meditation or hypnosis programs must be done for a minimum of 25 -30 days to really create lasting change.

    Whatever your "negative belief" is, you've probably been programming it into your subconscious over a long period of time, so to change it will take some time and work on your part.

    As Mattglad6 said, EFT can really speed up the process and you can learn it free. Just google search "Emotional Freedom Technique".

    What is most important is to reprogram the "negative" belief into what you want to achieve or believe.

    Without creating a new belief to install, the old one will simply come back.
  • Having a positive frame of mind will make the difference between success and failure. For some reason, we have this idea that only "awesome" people succeed. Everyone has that million dollar idea but very few actually take steps to put that into action.

    Yes and no. Affirmations might click and stick but they don't work a majority of the time. It is a form of act as if, fake it 'til ya make it, or trust. But what if you can't trust? Then what?

    Studied just about everything I could get my hands on. I have listed all the major psychological methodologies and all the popular personal development systems on my website that I studied.
    Every one works to one extent or another. I studied all the methodologies already mentioned here in this thread as well. They have at least some amount of effectiveness which is why you have so much bickering over methodology amongst psychologists.

    I have posted the steps in many different places with mixed reactions. Actually the whole range of reactions: love, hate, despair, joy - you name it, people have responded to it that way. (Also my marketing sucks on it - which is another reason I post here. Feel free to offer specific marketing suggestions.)

    Let me just start off with one thing to begin my credibility (besides all my other posts).

    Beliefs are difficult to change and that is good. The more powerful the belief the more emotion tied to your concept the more powerful the belief. Either positive or negative emotion can be tied to a belief but if it is a combination of both then that is the most powerful. We want core beliefs to be difficult to change so that they do not change on a whim.

    The moment a limiting belief is formed the way to heal it (change) is already set in the same moment. When you step off the path the way back is already set.

    Beliefs are healed with emotion since it is emotion that sustains it. Forgiveness cures anger. Nothing else. It cures it every single time. The exact positive emotion that does it.
  • If this is working for you, then don't question it. However, do some more research into the methods suggested here so that you can continue along this path, rather than going back to negativity.

    • As many posters have mentioned it the culprit here is our current belief system/s. All the systems mentioned here work for some and not for others.

      Like most posters, I have also tried my share of various self improvement systems and fortunate enough to stumble upon something that worked for me. My experience is, a system works if it resonates with our current belief system. That is why a particular system or method works for one person and not for the other.

      If we have the will power, determination and persistence we will eventually succeed at what we wanted in life. But will power, determination and persistence are the last things we can expect from a person who is struggling to deal with life's problems.

      It all boils down to our belief system. When we take care of the belief system, everything will fall into place.

  • I used to be so negative about myself and everything around me. Everything used to annoy me. The way I was able to reprogram my subconscious was by reading self improvement books for 30 minutes in the morning. Also, listening to motivational self help audiobooks in the car while driving to and from work.
  • well on negative belief you need to change is that it is difficult to change or reprogram a belief that is in your subconscious .

    i am 36 ..started drinking coffee at 19 .. but could only drin iced coffee.. even if it was beloe zero outside i would drink an ice coffee ..sometime 2 or three a day ..

    i went too the Philippines for a couple months this summer couldn't get iced coffee ..started drinking hot .. haven't had an iced coffer in the 2 and a half months sense i came back.

    now i drink hot cofee and most of the time brw it at home

    a defining belief that has been fed to me my entire life revolved around how unattractive i (Am)..on the same trip i had women i found very attractive attracted to me .. i just didn't have enough money to supoort a relationship . though i founf the money i needed was far less than i once believed .

    (ok wipe out the dirty mind unless women are in a western society with governments willing to supoort their babies ..they prefer men who have an income and can provide for them) but even that changes if the woman is educated and entrepreneurial

    most "negative beliefs" though in the subconscious are also heavily reinforce by the environment you exist in day to day ..and the social..

    now ..if the beliefs are there because of post traumatic stress..or childhood abuse .. or some dramatic life even..that may need counseling . get the proper counceling and support .

    toney robbins uses nlp and pattern interup to help people change ..

    now i would say if someone really wanted to quit smoking.. the best way..would be to act like a non smoker ..who gags on trace amounts of smoke
  • It seems as though, saturation kicked in prematurely by looping the same affirmations over and over again.
  • I would say that there is no easy way to change the subconscious
    mind. You may have developed certain traits thru many life-
    times. It stands to reason that you will not change these deep-
    seated tendencies in a flash.

    I would keep it simple and skip all the recordings, etc . Just
    keep repeating the affirmations that affirm what you what to
    become. Especially first thing in the morning and before you
    go to sleep when the subconscious mind is the most receptive.

    Post notes on your mirrors, in your vehicle. Keep reminders
    in your pocket, on your work desk, etc.

    It could take months or years but you WILL succeed if you
    persevere. Keep on, keeping on.........
  • Cybernetic Transposition by Stuart Lichtman is a very beautiful system. It can be very effective in getting rid of negative attitudes, beliefs, habits etc.

      I will have to check it out. Can also try 'the Swan' direct communication with the Subconcious mind.
  • Try doing the incarnations for at least 30 days before you question whether it works or not. I don't think 4 days is enough to test anything out.
  • Its because it takes at least 30-90 days for reprogramming to kick in.

    Think of nature. Think of the growth rate of a plant.

    That is about the same speed in which your brain takes to recondition. You would not sit and stare at a plant to see if it is growing. You will not see it happening, but it is.

    Be persistent and you will see results. Keep watering the garden and it will grow.
