Creating Intention and Working in Discreet Blocks of Time
Now, I come for building relationships, figuring out how I can help and make a difference.
Here are some tips that I have learned over the last few weeks that may make a difference to those who are reading.
Here are some things that I have known for a while but just put into practice "for reals" this week -
1. Follow the Pomodoro method with vigor - If you do not know the Pomodoro method is based around working in 25 minute blocks on a discreet task. When the alar goes off you are done. Conversely, you should not let anything distract you from your work for that 25 minute period. I have found that this technique is awesome, especially for somebody who happens to have work ADD.
2. Set an intention for each working session - I write down what I am going to accomplish before each section. This keeps me focused on the goal and on purpose with my work.
I have found an inner peace with this method over the past few weeks and also feel that I am accomplishing a lot more.
Conversely, I am also becoming a lot more effective in the work that I am doing.
The big lesson here is that things that I know that I should do that will help are worth implementing immediately.
There is no reason to wait to get stuff done that I want to get done.
Please share about something that you have known for a while and finally implemented.
Make it a great Saturday.
