Get Rich - BUILD MARKETPLACES - Quote

Hey folks,

I read a quote once, it goes something like this.

If you want to get wealthy, sell products and services. If you want to get rich - build marketplaces.

I can't for the life of me track down this quote, and I may even have ended up butchering it.

Anyone know it???

    But in the quote it sort of means that being rich is better than being wealthy ?

    • Makes a lot of sense to me. Market places are really big social concentrations where huge amounts of goods and services exchange hands. They're like one on one transactions times a thousand. That would make a person rich!

      Then there is the subjective aspect of getting wealth vs getting riches to be "rich".

  • okay i am confused.. what is the difference between Being Rich and Being Wealthy?
    You can be Wealthy if you ain't rich.. and vice versa..
  • I think online the trick to being wealthy is building systems. Systems get you more into managing and out of trading dollars for hours which is more like working.
  • What i get from this quote is that it's better to leverage a small percent from thousands of people rather than bank on a high returns from one.

    Some folks focused too much on rich vs wealthy, even though I said I'd got the quote wrong and was just transmitting the gist.

    Ok - "If you want to be reasonably wealthy, sell products and services, if you want to be rich beyond all measure then build marketplaces"

    Like I said, I'm just transmitting the gist. Shame nobody knows this one!
