What Does Avoiding Something Create?

What should we do instead of avoiding a bad situation?

For something as common as -
Instead we should be thinking -

  • When you avoid one situation, you by definition create another.

Either handle situations like a man or say you give up, like a man. Don't dodge.

    Good post, sir!

    • Too true! And often a situation will come back to haunt you, and you will have a harder time facing it.
  • If it can be done today why wait until tomorrow?
  • Hi Damien,

Neat post. Sometimes avoiding low energies hurts us, but sometimes, avoiding them helps. Example; if a desperate, or angry, or unclear person bugs you, you're best to ignore them. Feeding the lower energies creates stress in your life.

However, other energies need to be faced, embraced and released, to be free of them.

    Thanks!

Indeed in the given situations when they arise, avoiding can be a great thing, but lets not misunderstand the message I'm sending.

Let's separate Avoidance in 2 different mentalities.

When we face every day events that are unfavorable then it is our responsibility to react to the situation the best we can. Debates that lead to arguments, and those that escalate to a possible fight for example. Someone who thought out the situation well can avoid escalating to a fight. Great job in Avoidance.

After the same event is over "A escalating heated debate". Some people tend to dwell on what happened. If a similar event occurs, those dwelling on the last event may completely avoid a situation from happening. A brave hero will dive into fearful territory. Get into a debate, heat it up, and use your experience to control the situation.

Avoiding things we fear can close doors right in front of our face. Opportunities you could have discovered if you stopped avoiding, and utilize your skills. A prime example here with my response to your post. A person can avoid embarrassment by not responding because they were proven wrong before. Responding can begin a debate that he is scared to take on. I decided to take that challenge on. :p
  • You will have to do it one day. So why not do it now?

    Cheers,

    C.G.
  • Well said. I struggle with this quite a bit. However, I always get what I need to done, but I always put the things I hate to back of the line... I need to cut it out as it causes too much unnecessary stress.
