I want to introduce myself, My name is Jeremy, I am a 27 year old Internet Entrepreneur, I have fell on my face countless amount of times and still to this day I do, and I'm beginning to wonder If I have to the determination it takes to be successful online? don't get me wrong, I know how to build a website, place ads, put information on the website, I wonder if im suffering from information overload, i try to do a million different projects at once, I have struggled to make money online, half the time complete any projects I have started, I think wow this is a great idea then my mind races to another project and I think wow this a another great idea, then it seems too time consuming and stressful, wasting my money on domain names, and webhosting, month after month, however, i refuse to give up can anyone lead me in the direction of an easier niche related project i could do and see some results? maybe this would help my drive and determination, maybe this is why im not hardly finishing anything i start because i havent seen any results in the past

  • I think you pretty much answered your own question. Why don't you just stick to one thing and see it through to the end? Who cares how well you do? At least you will have finished.

    Starting projects and not finishing is the ultimately way lose self-confidence, as demonstrated by your thread here.

    Finish a project and use that as psychological momentum to propel yourself onto the next project.

    And you might not think this matters much, but it matters more than anything else you'll read here: start eating better, stop taking stimulants like caffeine if you currently are, and drink more green tea.

    • It appears that you have been around IM for a while. That being the case, I am sure you have read about the money being in the list. Do yourself a favor and block out all the noise and build a list for yourself. Good luck.
  • Completion is a powerful self motivator! Buckle down, find a quiet place free from distractions, including technology, choose a task or project (I'd suggest a free optin offer so you start building a list) and don't do another single thing while you work on that.

    Stay laser beam focused and I guarantee that completion will propel you on to the next and so on and so forth. Before you know it you'll be able to look back and see the progress you've made, which will again propel your success. It's all about one baby step at a time.

    Remember, Rome wasn't conquered in a day.
  • Speaking of steps.

    We often worry so much about the journey--how things will go, if we'll succeed or "fail," whether the world will end tomorrow--that we forget the importance of each little step.

    More than this, being outcome dependent drags your focus back to the past (what went wrong that one time) or launches it into the future (the countless things that might go wrong).

    Don't be outcome dependent. Be process dependent. Form a well-defined plan based on sound knowledge, but after that shift gears and act. Focus on the steps with the belief that if you take this step to the best of your current ability then the next will fall into place.

    As all attachments sooner or later do, attachment to outcome leads to fear of loss/failure. You can be passionate and positive about something without being attached to the outcome. That's also called being present.
  • I feel ya, i have many ideas but am only limited to one project at a time. What I do is append new ideas to a text file. After finishing the first project start reading the text. also, try to write down what you have achieved so far sometimes we already have gone farther than what we have hoped for and we don't realize it.
  • Once you get an idea in your mind, just go for it and focus on that till you are earning enough money

    Don't let anything get you distracted.

    Now, also make sure that you write down what you want to do the next day. Sit the night before and make a list of all the things that you want to do that will make sense in helping you to move forward.

  • I agree, finishing a project it can be a great motivator.

    There is a quote what I read when I feel that I wanna give up..." When you want to give up remember why you started" It always reminds me why I started the whole thing.

    If you change your focus on what you want (the success), you do not want to give up

  • Step one is decide what it is that you want to do.

    Step two is to make the why enormous. If it isn't, refer back to step one.
    *the reason should be bigger than just money.

    Step three continue on until you finish it, and you will need to expand into your potential to get there. If you loose motivation, check back in with your purpose on step two.

    Mind makes it complicated but thats all you need to do to get this done.

      You have what most internet marketers get at one time or another called "Shiny Object Sydrome". If you don't get rid of it you'll be going in circles forever. But once you can defeat it - you'll be on your way.

  • And Jeremy, by doing things this way you will likely never see results.

    If you have all of the skills that you say you do, then there is no
    reason that you should not be finishing what you start. The problem is
    that you are starting way too many things.

    Take a look a what you have been doing and working on, pick
    several that you really like, and that you think have possibility, and
    then narrow your selections down to only ONE THING. You can
    add on later.

    Now, use what you have learned, motivate yourself, and go to work.
    Any help that you may need along the way you can usually find
    right here - somewhere. Be productive, and be patient.
  • Take stock of everything you have done so far and make a written list of all your currently unfinished projects. There must be some reason each project was left undone, not just boredom. Analyze each project to see if there is still any hope and make a note of any resources you might need for each (such as professionally written articles, email list building etc). That brings up another point, have you bothered to build an email list for any of these sites or keep up with the list you've built?
  • Having deployed to war zones, I can tell you that the mindset of a warrior is selflessness. The desire to sacrifice yourself for the good of others will change your life. Being a warrior is fighting even if the odds are against you! Keep charging warriors!
