If you're looking to develop for both platforms, you should try looking into a hybrid app. Hybrid apps are written via website copy (like HTML5, CSS and Java) then contained in a native format. This article by telerik has more on them.

There are tons of other articles out there if you do a quick Google search. I've written one but it hasn't been released over at AdSpruce yet. But it's given me enough knowledge to know if I were thinking of launching an app I'd definitely go hybrid.

I developed an android app with appery.io formerly known as tiggzi. I got a lot of great support and my app is currently on the google play store. *Recommended!

Appery is a cloud-based mobile app builder that you can use to create apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, and includes Apache Cordova (Phone Gap) with access to its built-in components.

You can use phonegap platform. Adobe PhoneGap is a standards-based, open-source development framework for building cross-platform mobile apps with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8.As you can get different types of required plugins for it. you also can create application for IOS, android and windows. Since it is a cross platform for android,IOS and windows you don't need to write different codes for different platform.

Both Android and iOS are the best apps in their own Way. Android and iOS are top used OS in smartphones used world wide. Go for android rather than iOS. Easy to develop and upload on Google play store.

I think you should go for an Android app. You can build it with appery.io. It is really helpful and effective.

A friend of mine introduced me to an app called uCiC by Snapwise Inc. The app helps you get filtered, real-time visual content on things you are looking for, by just sending a simple message. All you need to do is type in the exact location and look for users in the area who can help you with images.

I hope this will be useful for you guys
