You need to start by putting yourself in your target user's shoes: what do they search for on Google? What blogs or sites do they read? What forums do they participate in? What social media do they use most actively.... and what groups are they active in? Once you've answered those questions, then you know that you have to get your App visible in those places... that will give you some ideas for marketing strategy. Then you want to make sure you have content written that addresses the keywords (Google searches), offer to do guest blog posts, get active in relevant forums, social networks, etc.

Be careful with fiverr and do a good check on the person you hire because they can really ruin your day sometimes.

Social media is a must for a new app but look for the right audience, don't just offer it to all random people. Installs are very important but uninstalls are what makes an app viral or disappear from everywhere.
