Hi, Nowhere else to turn so I thought I'd give posting on here a shot. I'm trying to drive app installs for my recently launched game on Google Play. I've been using facebook's App Installs campaign (yes we're tracking installs via the SDK) and google's Adwords Universal App Installs Campaigns and I'm starting to think we need to find out what platform everyone else is using.. According to chatboost data; https://www.chartboost.com/insights/...=Google%20Play The average one should pay for an install in the Netherlands (our current targeted country) is $1.18. ![]() Well facebook wants £11.65 ($15.54) per install which is almost x15 the average for the country. It's not like we have a bad relevance score either (6-7) for a pretty laser targeted audience (girls who like farmville). Google's Universal App Campaign is a joke, as while the price is much better (pretty much consistent with the average) the quality of installs are disgraceful. I called them up and they confirmed that advertisers can't target gender/age, or even ensure that the adverts are displayed to users with the capacity to install/use the app (wrong OS version etc) so needless to say with these campaigns 70% of our installs turn into uninstalls within the first 10 seconds and this is damaging for our rating. I've tried to follow all of the advice on the net to the best of my ability, but I am not a marketing professional and I am doing this on a budget (<$2000). Can anyone please offer any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong and what platforms everyone else is apparently using to get that chatboost's reported average CPI? |
