Hi Franki,

I'm also a newbie on this forum but have been involved with mobile marketing for over 2 years here in the Netherlands. I focus on offline stores, to increase and maintain their clientbase with textmarketing campaigns. These campaigns I offer at a monthly rate and has been going quite well over the past years.

If you want to get involved with textmarketing there are a few roads that you can take, by either having a shortcode (for instance, hotelX) or a local phone number of the area you're targeting.

Textmarketing methods are like listbuilding methods, you capture leads. The upside of textmarketing is the relationships you build with your clients. These clients will send you their new products or services that they want to promote and you'll blast that onto your text leads that you captured.

If you need more information on textmarketing, please add me on Skype so I can tell you where to get started or if you have other mobile marketing questions!

Good luck,

Chiel

Thanks guys for the replies. I am studying this site and even got my fiance looking at this site. We both are learning so much.

@Rowdy Yates, That was one of the key factors of me wanting to step into the mobile marketing. My background. I see a huge clientele that i can approach! Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Now I am trying to figure all this out and learn to adapt to the business.

Hey welcome! There are so many people on here with great information. For mobile marketing I use Avid and they have some great training material. There are a handful of top SMS marketing services out there.

As for mobile sites there are some good WSO's on here. For me it's back to the basics and I code all my sites in HTML/CSS. Super easy and I can create a 5 page mobile site in a few hours (if that long).

It's a great market to get involved in. Mobile is only going to explode like crazy in the future.

Adking is a product of Brandel, Inc. and is built on the DOTGO Platform. It uses subkeywords such as txtrs Keyword. In other words a businesses keyword has to have txtrs before it with a space in between.

DOTGO has dicontinued their unlimited package and it wont be long before adking can no longer offer the service. This is why they have disclaimers all over the site that SMS is Free and not part of what you are paying for. That way when they are forced to discontinue it none of their customers will have any recourse.

Brandel, Inc. DBA Adking are a husband and wife team working out of their living room. They were on the scene fairly early and at first their product wasnt a bad deal however tech has changed...and theirs hasnt.

The Apps are merely poorly done mobile sites with a screen bookmark...they are not ACTUAL Apps.

Hope that helps...

Welcome to the forums. Tons of info here. Make sure that as you're learning to take action as well. Information paralysis happens all too often! Good luck.
