Hi all, have just started in the "Local Mobile Business" So *I can earn money beside my "app business" where i make apps for diffrent niches.. it's sells okay with maybe 5 hours work a month ![]() I have been written to maybe 30-40 local websites where I can see no mobile opt-in, NO Answer. My mail goes like this. "Hi,I was viewing your website on my Iphone but there was a problem, so I made a quick video showing it, is this the right address to send it to? Thanks!" Where i will afterwards send them a video presentation og their mobile site when it's opt-in.. My website are: ProAtMobile.com - Local Mobile optimaztion So my questions here are: 1.What do I do Wrong, what do i right? 2.How many do you contact before you get a Client 3.Anything else Thanks |

My questions are... 1. How many emails have you sent? 2. Where did you find these clients? Are they random or did you put some thought into finding them? 3. Have you had any responses asking for the video? 4. If not, have you been tracking the open rate of your emails so you cna see how many are actually getting opened? |

I'm new here so I don't want to make a bad impression or step on anyone's toes, however, if I did happen to open the email (which I normally wouldn't because I don't know you) I would probably delete it after reading. 1) I've seen my website on an iPhone and it looks fine 2) You're initial contact with me was telling me I've done something wrong 3) You want to send me a video. Which means it's either an attachment or link. I would be extremely hesitant to open either This is just what jumps out at me. |

Try This Email: Good afternoon XXXX, My name is “YOUR NAME”, and I’m a local mobile marketing consultant. Unlike most of the emails you may receive from people offering to make your restaurant “#1 on Google”, or to bring you thousands of website leads – I’m not here to do that. Search engine optimization is a waste of time for most restaurants. It’s not that it doesn’t work, as it truly does. The harsh reality is that you just won’t get new restaurant customers that way! I’m here to talk to you specifically about how you can use mobile marketing to grow your customer base and increase your revenues. I prepared a short video that is customized for restaurants. If you are remotely interested in using the power of mobile marketing to build your restaurant - I invite you to watch the video below. Put your video! We can help you with the following, all of which will make you money. 1. Create a mobile-friendly website that can be found and viewed online by mobile phone searchers. (Text “DEMOSITE” to 96362 for a live demo on your smartphone) 2. Mobile coupons that will help fill your tables on traditionally slow nights 3. Develop SMS, or text message, based loyalty campaigns. 4. Build your reputation online – specifically in review and restaurant sites where real customers actually look! You don’t need to hear from us how big mobile is – just look around. Many people will stay on a phone call during their entire stay at your restaurant. Others will use their phone to do email and play games while they wait. All of these people rely on their mobile phones to help them make decisions about where to spend money on dining out. We can help you stay in front of this trend and add both customers and sales to your bottom line. If you are ready to take the next step, like what you see and hear in the video, please send me an email or call direct at (207) 200-4ADS (4237). Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions. Best Regards, QCREEK -------------------------------------------------- Ok lets break it down: Email marketing can be a tough one. Business owners get sometimes hundreds a day. Unless your giving them something they can't refuse then it's kind of hard to sell to them. Okay, these businesses do not know you or trust you. Why would they buy from you. Try to get a warm referral to the decision maker of the business. A Client or customer or friend. This raises you sale rate by about 20 % - this is a fast way to build trust. You said they were local, go out and visit them. Give them a free qr code. Or presell them on a mobile site by designing a demo for them, making the url a QR code and giving it to them. Also you might want to think about local business events, have a plan and sales will follow. Best Regards Qcreek |

Excuse me! The BASIC....BOTTOM LINE....to "Selling ANYTHING is; "Ya Gotta GRAB your prospects ATTENTION!" Same as the Headline in a Sales Letter. A "Headline's" MAIN PURPOSE is to (hold onto yer hats...something AWESOME is coming!)....a Headline's MAIN PURPOSE is to...."Sell" your prospect on.....(get ready now...it's REALLY COMING this time).....READING FURTHER! Same with the "Subject" box of an email! So....going to "Basics"; In MY email program (Outlook Express) there are 2 columns. The 1st column says, "From"....giving the NAME of the Person or Entity that has sent the email. The 2nd Column is labeled; "Subject"! If I've never heard of the person or entity in the "From" column and....in the "Subject" Column are the words, "Good afternoon XXXX,"....you can bet yer bippy....THAT email is getting a Quick Click OUT! I ain't even going to WASTE MY TIME OPENING that thing! Why Should I? What "reason-to-open" does...."Good Afternoon XXXXX" provide as a REASON for me to Open it? If you said, "Nada, Nothing, Zippo!"...you'd be absolutely correcto. Why in the world would you assume anyone would open that email with THOSE WORDS? Now....if I was the "Office Manager" of a Dentist Office and I saw a "Subject" line that said; "Can You Handle 10 New Patients every month?'" My "Curiosity" would get the best of me and....because I'd LIKE TO FIND OUT...."How" our office can get 10 New Patients every month....I WILL open that email! Now....the 1st Line of the message should continue on providing a "REASON" to keep reading! Holy Camoly! I could send an email to 10,000 people with info that THEY have just won A MILLYUN BUX....and I would NOT have to pay it out! Why? Because the "Subject" line says; "Good Afternoon XXX....!" and it would NEVER be opened and seen! YUCKO! Do you get my point? Do some Research and find out what "words" others are using in their Subject Lines! Put yoursefl INTO the body of the person receiving your emails. You see your email...sitting there in the "Subject" column and...think about what would make YOU open that message! Don Alm....."Sales Guy" |

I might also just ask, is the video you are sending them top just the one on your homepage? If so that does nothing to get them interested in things. It's just a very vague video and there's no strong call to action on the page.

Without a doubt - you close offline leads offline with a personal visit 3 visits: 1)Hello.... "I saw your business... I was curious about....can you tell me more... " remember NO selling its all 100% all listening to get to the crux of the problem 2) Follow up - show them and position your product for the solution 3) Signup a contract.... repeat... |

Excellent info that I'll take advantage of myself. As far as making your e-mails stand out from the crowd, I have to agree with midasman09 - any kind of bland, generic type of subject line and your e-mail goes straight to my trash folder, no ifs, ands or buts. You've got to arouse the business owner's curiosity before they'll even consider going beyond a swift glance at your subject. And I personally feel that there's no real substitute for pounding the pavement and face-to-face interaction. All the best, Ray |

Set up a decent email campaign, make it more personal, that looks a bit spammy. Have a mixture of a salespitch with a personal touch.

Yes, personalization is key. The more personal your message the more it resonates with the reader. Think about it, which message are you more likely to respond to? One that sounds like it has been written and sent to thousands of other businesses or one that mentions your name, your business, and maybe even a few points about your business that shows the person has done their research and has not just sent this message out to hundreds of other businesses.

1st, You are selling Mobile Marketing...SMS included and one of the strongest selling points of SMS Marketing is the much higher Read Rate than Email. Trying to get clients in Mobile Marketing by emailing them is a little self defeatist in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, email has it's place but... 2nd, Cold Emailing is a Science and for the inexperienced it can be less than effective. 3rd, For most, the reason they bang their keyboard sending emails is because they are scared to death to bang their phone keypad to simply call those same businesses! Writing 30 or 40 emails and not getting a response isnt surprising. Ever wonder why Spammers send millions of emails to make money?

Also, and I would like to hear some other comments in this, but no matter if it is email, snail mail, cold calling, or cold walking, the real success comes in numbers. You may have to do more emails to convert a lead than you would cold walking or calling, bit those methods may not be practical for you or suit you. Either way, you have to put in enough volume to get good results, right? And tweaking your emails may likely help, as others said.

It would appear based on your posts and some of the text on your website that English is not your first language. The biggest hint to this is that you don't always use the correct form of the word. You might want to get someone to proofread your copy.

Looks like he's in Denmark. Not sure if he/she is marketing towards businesses in the US or local to Denmark.

In your portfolio there is a webdesign company. Me as a customer would find it strange that one design company does the website for someone else. Same goes for the about us page. There is sanvastmarketing that only uses you to do their marketing. Now I'm really confused |

You knock on the doors until they are opened. If there is someone else making money in a niche and perhaps in your locality, it means there is money to be made. Never give up. Learn from experience and move on. A mentor would shorten your learning curve.
